Welcome to Erica's Craft Room 25 Days of Christmas, with 25 Cricut projects a day. Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today.... and every day in December. http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com TODAY'S THEME IS NATIVITY Well, this is it the final project for the 25 Days of Christmas at My Cricut Craft room. I have to say it's been a lot of fun and inspiration! For today's theme I decided to make an ornament, because you never have enough right? I used the Winter Frolic cartridge for Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus as well as the star. The stable comes from the Inspired Heart cartridge, however, it does not look like this when you cut it out. I cut the circle away so that it would just be the manger.  Every year since I can remember we have always awakened on Christmas morning to a birthday party for Jesus. That is what Christmas is all about, after all. My mom would bake a cake and we would sing, blow out the candles, and read the st...

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room 25 Days of Christmas, with 25 Cricut projects a day. Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today.... and every day in December. http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com TODAY'S THEME IS GINGERBREAD For today's theme I choose to do a layout. Every year it is tradition for the youngest in the family to decorate gingerbread men, or houses, with homemade icing and as much candy as you can fit on the poor gingerbread man. Featured in the above layouts are my two adorable children and my two handsome nephews working hard on their gingerbread men. To embellish this layout I decided to use a different gingerbread man to represent each of the different children. The gingerbread men come from the following cartridges: From My Kitchen, My Community, Winter Frolic, and Stretch Your Imagination. The gingerbread house comes from the My Community cartridge.  I hope that you are inspired to create this Christmas Season! Bles...

A Holiday Card

Image
If you are looking for the Winter Baby Blog Hop click HERE So, there is a challenge going over on The Pink Stamper blog in their 12 days of Christmas event. I decided to take them up on their first challenge because it intrigued me! The challenge was to  m ake a Christmas or Winter project from a Cricut Cartridge that is NOT for the Holidays!  To think outside the box. So, this is the card I came up with. The car came from the Campin Critters cartridge. I cut it out and cut off the luggage on top of the car. Then I used one of the trees that had a fox hiding behind it. I cut off the part with the fox and replaced the tree with the luggage. Then, also, using the Campin Critters cart I cut out the turn right sign and added a sticker from my stash that said traditions. And, there you have my holiday card that was made from a non-holiday cartridge. Thanks for a great challenge!

Snowman Card

Image
This card was fun to make. On the Creative Cutter Room blog they are have a fun challenge where your are to create a project using a snowman and three elements that are decided by her design team. This is the card I came up with. I embossed my snowman which I cut from the Gypsy Wanderings cart on my gypsy. I used the color blue for my monochromatic color scheme. I used metal blue sparkle brads for my metal peice. And, I used a ribbon to create a border between my snowman and my sentiment. I am, also, entering this card into the following challenges: My Pink Stamper's 12 Days of Christmas: Day 3!: make a holiday card The Paper Variety : Anything Goes Scrap-Creations : Snow Cards Lawnscaping Challenge : Texture Challenge

Welcome to Erica's Craft Room 25 Days of Christmas, with 25 Cricut projects a day. Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today.... and every day in December. http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com TODAY'S THEME IS HOT CHOCOLATE/TEA/COFFEE I absolutely love coffee, maybe a little too much for my own good, so when I saw this theme I got really excited. I decided to make a card around one of my favorite things to do during the holidays, besides scrapping that is. I love to sit in my front living room with a cup of coffee, my family nearby, and a beautiful Christmas tree all lit up in front of me. This is definitely my favorite time of year. I used two cartridges for this card and one is of course Winter Frolic from which came the coffee cup and then I cut the tree from the Christmas cartridge (which surprised me because I had completely forgotten that I had that - I think it must have come preloaded on my gyspy).  Well, since we in the coffee mod...

Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today.... and every day in December. http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com TODAY'S THEME IS BAKING Unfortunately, for today's theme I do not have any pictures in my layout. That is because I have yet to get mine and my daughter's baking pictures developed from this year. However, I will show you a double page layout below from last year just for fun! Back to this year's layout. The above layout consists of diecut images from A Child's Year and From My Kitchen cartridges. The little girl taking something out of the oven is from A |Child's Year and the rest is from From My Kitchen. Both are fabulous cartridges that were a lot of fun to work with. Now I just need to get my pics developed and if I manage to make that happen before this post actually goes live, which I will try to do,  I will add a pic of the ...

Rolling In Ribbon With My Craft Spot

Image
Hello everyone, it's Monday again and that means it's time for more Monday challenges. This week I was blessed to be working with some great ribbon from My Craft Spot . I love this ribbon, it is so much fun and it is so pretty. I made a light box for this weeks challenge at Fantabulous Cricut : Rolling In Ribbon. The glass box came from Hobby Lobby and I used two cartridges to make this box; Inspired Heart Cricut Lite and Winter Frolic for the star. From My Craft Spot I used two colored crinkle ribbons weaved around some holiday gold trimmed ribbon. The crinkle ribbon is from the Christmas Eve Crinkle Ribbon set and I used cranberry and olive green colors. This set also comes with a color called Gingerbread Cookies. And now for my light box.    *********************************** It's also time for another challenge from the Made Especially For You blog. This weeks challenge is create an card or layout that features some form of snow or snow flakes. I decided to mak...

Don't forget to stop by Erica's blog to see 24 more projects today.... and every day in December. http://mycricutcraftroom.blogspot.com TODAY'S THEME IS SNOW PLAY For this theme I decided to do another layout. I had some great pictures of my kids playing in the snow from last year and its definitely time to get those scrapped. This gave me a good start. For this layout I used the Winter Frolic and Winter Woodland cartridges to embellish this simple page. The sledding hills, the cute sledding boy, and the title were cut from the Winter Frolic Cartridge and the snowman was from the Winter Woodland Cartridge. These are two of my favorite winter carts, I can't use them or recommend them enough!!! I hope that you are inspired to create this Christmas Season! Blessings to you and your family! See you on December 7th when I get to show you another project!

I found a great site that is if you love challenges, which I do. It's called The Daily Dare . It lists challenges that are happening every day. So, I decided to try out a challenge or two. I made this card for the following challenges: A Muse Studio Challenge Blog Paper Issues Craft Your Passion Challenges Ooh La La Creations Scrap-Creations There She Goes Cardz TV Fab 'n' Funky Challenges

Fantabulous Monday Challenge

Image
This weeks challenge at Fantabulous Cricut  is make a Holiday Card. I have been wanting to use the ice skater from the Winter Woodland Cartridge for awhile so I thought this would be a good opportunity. I, also, used some trees from the Winter Frolic cartridge and the pond was from the Create a Critter cartridge. Combine the ice skater with some beautiful embellishments from Creative Charms and it was the perfect look that I was after! This weeks sponsor is Creative Charms and they have some amazing embellishments in their shop. Below I used Their Seasonal Sparkles charms which inclued the all the bling on my card: winter, snow, snowflakes and the stars on the ice skater's dress. If you haven't heard of  Creative Charms or taken a look at their online store than you need to!
