National Hot Cocoa Day and Glitter New Years Card

Image
Hello and welcome to another Monday challenge at Fantabulous Cricut . It is national hot cocoa day and that is the theme of this weeks challenge. We are asked to create a project either with a cup, chocolate, or some brown colored paper. Check out my project below and then create your own and upload it to the Fantabulous Cricut blog for your chance to be a winner! For this challenge I decided to make a wall decor item for my kitchen. I used the Wall Decor and More cricut cartridge for the coffee cup. It is cut out in some metallic brown paper with glitter beige paper for the cup shadow/background. The Coffee Time word phrase came from the From My Kitchen cricut cartridge, also cut in the same paper as the cup.  Thank you Fantabulous for giving me yet another excuse to make something for my walls!!!  *********************************************** Monday Challenge With Made Especially 4 You This week the challenge is to use glitter. My Creative Time Design Team Entry

Image
My Creative Time Blog is having a Design Team Call and I've decided to submit an entry. Below is the card I made for the DT call. I do not actually own any of her stamp sets, so I had to use one that I had. The stamp I decided to use is by 7 Gypsies. I had some fun using my new heat embosser to embellish the stamped wording.  I paired it with some pattern paper by Pink Paislee from their Bayberry Cottage 6x6 paper pad. The house and the tag was cut on paper from 7 Gypsies Collections From the Journey 8x8 paper stack. For the house, lantern and tag I used the Heritage Cricut Cartridge. The lantern is lite with gold colored stickles and I embellished the stamp tag with a couple of simple black buttons. The card itself is 6 1/2 by 5 in size. Thank you for the opportunity Emma!

Cards and Card Boxes

Image
I've been on a card kick lately. I found a great tutorial on a blog recently and had to try it. It was for creating card boxes. So, after my relax card I have uploaded some pictures of the card boxes I made and an example of the cards I made to go with them. You can find the tutorial at http://www.fabulouslyartsy.com/2009/05/card-box-tutorial.html
