New Coat of Paint

Image
I am a Guest Designer at  Lasting Memories Scrapbook Layout Challenges  this month! And, I'm so excited to share the figth and final layout challenge for the month!  I decided to continue scrapping our move into our current home. We had decided to replace the carpets sooner rather than later due to the carpets smelling poorly after being shampooed. They needed replacing anyway, so why wait?! Since the carpets were pulled up we decided to pain the entire upstairs. It became a family affair and of course I took photos of everyone doing their part! My Layout : The Challenge: The challenges for April are all going to be word challenges where you use scrappy items or techniques for every letter of the word for that week.  This Week's Word is: RAIN Red Arrows Illustrated Faith New Coat of Paint - title To Create this Layout I used: We R Memory Keepers: Sports paper stack Illustrated Faith: Bright and Brave - arrow tab an...

Pizza Birthday

Image
My father in law loves pizza and we get together with them about every couple of weeks for a pizza night. His birthday is coming up and I wanted to use this image from Design Space to create a card. The image is a heart beat but instead of a heart in the center it has a pizza.  I decided to create the card using a sketch from the Sketch n Scrap blog. My Card: The Sketch: Pink Paislee: 360 6x6 paper pad Heartbeats Cricut Cartridge: pizza heartbeat A Child's Year CC: sentiment Thank you so much for stopping by, Blessings,

You Are The Cherry

Image
I don't make cards near as often as I should these days. I've most been scrapbooking! However, it's my mom's birthday as well as Valentines day this week so I figured I'd better start making some cards. A Cherry On Top has a card challenge up on their blog and the challenge was to use a sketch, which I will include below, and to include a cherry on the card.  I am, also, entering this card on the Bitten by the Bug 2 blog, the Cut It Up blog, and the Love to Scrap Challenge blog.  My Card: Pink Paislee: 360 6x6 paper pad Awesome font on Design Space: sentiment font Country Life Cricut Cartridge: cherries Cricut Basic Shapes: rectangles The Sketch: Thank you so much for stopping by! Puppy In Training

Image
Much of our life, when Ahsoka was a puppy, was dedicated to puppy training. We had treats in our pockets at all times and tried to remember to use the treats to train Ahsoka to be the dog we wanted her to be. She loved the treats and would pretty much do anything asked of her when you had a treat to offer. She was a quick study and Grace enjoyed working with her. In case you think puppy training was easy - nope nope nope!! But, that is another story for another post.  For these photos I used a challenge from The ScrapRoom Blog ! Let's Scrap - Scrap Retreat

Image
In 2017 our annual scrapbooking retreat was very memorable. It snowed. . . a lot! We ended up loosing power for about 5 hours in the morning. It was actually a fun experience. I work so much with my Cricut that it was an awesome challenge to create layouts and to not use the Cricut for them. Despite the awesome challenge of creating without diecuts, I was very excited when the power came back on!  I used the left side of the below sketch from Let's Scrap  to create my layout. My Layout: To Create My Layout I used: Pink Paislee: Switchboard paper stack Mambi Chips: chipboard stickers Small Talk Frames & Tags Cricut Cartridge: frames The Girls Paperie by Margie: Paper Girl - letter stickers "Retreat" Washi and brackets: from stash Thank you so much for stopping by!!!
