I Love My Daughter

Image
One of the things I love to do is take my kiddos out on dates alone. On this particular day it was time to take my daughter out for some mommy and daughter time. She loves the idea of coffee, even though I do not let her have actual coffee. She gets hot chocolate. But, I do like to take her on an occasional coffee date just her and I. Being a scrapper we had to take a selfie with our coffee cups! I used a sketch from the Let's Get Sketchy blog .  The Sketch: And My Take: To Create this Layout I used: DCWV: Flower Shop paper stack Project Life: Love Life - photo overlay Pebbles - Epherma - & Cricut Cartridge: Love You a Latte - coffee cup Design Space - to write title on cup Computer Font - Axettac Demo Carpe Diem - decorative "love" clip Lovesvg.com - title "I love my daughter" Heidi Swapp: vellum epherma - butterfly Thank you so much for stopping by! Blessings,

Card Packs

Image
I love making cards. Sometimes, and this could be a very strange problem to have, I have a difficult time making just one card. I love making card packs. Most of the time the card packs follow a theme and sometimes they don't. The two card packs I'll show you below do follow a theme. It's really a cartridge thing, I think. I find a cartridge that has some really cute images and then I just need to cut a bunch of the images out. What better way to use the cuts but cards?! The first card pack comes from the Love You a Latte Cricut Cartridge. The next card pack comes from the Give a Hoot Cricut Cartridge Thanks so much for stopping by! Blessings,

Pinterest Inspired Cards

It's time for another challenge from the Cut It Up Blog ! I have a couple of boards that are completely dedicated to cards, and there are hundreds. Well, I have good intentions of trying all of them out - ok maybe a few of them out! Anyway, this challenge got me working! My first card comes from Melissa at Moe Creations . Check out her card and then look at mine. (yes her's is definitely better, but I still like mine, lol) You will, also, find this pictured pinned to my Pinterest boards  Stuff I've Done/Tried .  Feel free to visit me on Pinterest and be a follower! Now for my card(s) I decided to make a set of cards. There are actually three cards of each to make a set of six. I used the I Love You a Latte Cricut Cartridge to make these cards. There is one more card that I will show you that has been featured once before on my blog. But, first here is the card that inspired it. This card was originally posted on the Cards, ...

Anything Goes

Hello, and welcome to the first ever challenge from Cut It Up !  I'm so excited for our first challenge and I hope that you will join us!!! This weeks challenge couldn't be any easier, we are challenged to create what ever we want as long as there is a die cut on there somewhere! This was a fun one for me. It's my mother n law's birthday this last week so I decided to create a birthday present for her. My project comes from a tutorial that I purchased from Inking Idaho . My mother-n-law likes teacups and such so I decided to create a desk organizer for her in the theme of teacups. I even made a matching card. The teacup and kettle on the sides of the organizer (as shown below) are cut from the Wall Decor and More Cricut Cartridge. The card and the drawer knobs come from the Birthday Cakes Cricut Cartridge and the tea bag comes from the Love You a Latte Cricut Cartridge. The letters that spell TEA come from the Storybook Cricut Cartridge. Cartridges used: Wall Decor a...

Thanks a Latte and a Gyspy Welding Tip

Image
Just for fun, I was using my Love You A Latte Cricut Cartridge and decided to make a quick thank you card, since I'm getting low in my stash of cards. Check it out. I used my gypsy to weld the two coffee cups together to create the card and then proceeded with the layers as usual. I used Just Because Cards Cricut Cartridge to cut out the "Thanks a" to go before the "latte". Simple and to the point, but totally cute! Here's a gyspy tip for creating shape cards:  On the same layout page screen copy your image (the coffee cup) and then place the second image directly over the orginal. Then using the inverted image button on the advanced editing options turn it upside down. Now use your arrows to move the image down (down only or side only depending how you want your card to open). When it gets to where you want it to fold then stop and group the images together, then weld them. This is the easiest way to get your images to match best when you go to clo...

Fun With Puns at Fantabulous Cricut

Image
This week is a fun challenge over at the  Fantabulous Cricut  blog.  We are asked to create a project or card using a funny title or phrase. I had a lot of fun putting this card together. A friend of mine came over to scrap and she had just bought the Love You a Latte Cricut Lite cartridge. Now this is a cartridge that I have been coveting but haven't brought myself to buy at full price yet. She let me play with it and the below card was the result. The phrase comes from the Just Because Card Cricut Cartridge and the coffee cup and coffee beans come from the Love You a Latte Cricut Lite Cartridge. To give the card a little depth I dry embossed the  coffee beans and the phrase. The paper comes from the DCWV Luxury paper stack. I had a lot of fun doing this card, now it's your turn!
