I'm so excited to announce that I get to be a Guest Designer at the Lasting Memories challenge blog for April. This first challenge is called Word Play. And I'll explain that more below.  I decided to use photos of my daughter and her best friend from when they went to the mall for a shopping spree at Justice! I can't believe she is growing up so fast. I just watched them looking around the store, trying things on, and making purchases like grown ups. Yes, I stuck around - and watched from afar. Not quite ready for the whole drop them off at the mall - at least not two years ago when this was taken.  The Challenge: Wordplay -  Since today is Easter Sunday - use a scrappy item, theme, or technique for every letter in the word "EASTER". Your layout  does not  have to be Easter-related - it can be about anything. And since there are 2 "E"s you will need to include 2 different "E" items. Here's the link to Lauren's Scrappy Alphabet page ...

When we were visiting Fort Steele in Canada there was a couple of Clydesdale horses pulling a wagon around the town. Everytime they came by Ahsoka would stop and start at them. She would not budge until they passed. She seemed so enamored by them. It was as if she was thinking that "those are really big dogs" - it was so cute so I had to snap a pic and scrap it. To scrap this photo I used a sketch and challenge from Rochelle Spears and Scrap with Stacy  I also added some journaling and plan to enter it at the Lasting Memories blog as well.  My Layout: The Challenges: LM #535 - And the story is..." I am a Guest Designer at  Lasting Memories Scrapbook Layout Challenges  this month! And, I'm so excited to share the third layout challenge for the month!  Two years ago in July it will be two years since we bought and moved into our current house. I was so excited about it and mostly because it was on a culdesac, which I have always thought to be the perfect type of street to live on. It has definitely lived up to all I thought it would be. We have amazing neighbors and it's such a quiet street. I am blessed! For this challenge I decided to scrap two of the photos we took, one of my husband and I signing the papers and one of the house itself.
