My Best Friend

Image
Grace and Taylor have been friends since kindergarten. They have been two peas in a pod since the day they met. Started out that they were neighbors but then both of us moved out of the neighborhood. We still live nearby, at least in the same state (the next door state of Idaho) about 15 drive from each other. They don't get to see each other as often as they did when they lived down the street from each other but they still do their best to stay close.  To scrap this photo of them sunbathing in our back yard I used a sketch from Sketches in Thyme .  My Layout: To Create this Layout: Park Lane: Pocket Blossom paper stack Project Life: Becky Higgins Currently Photo overlay - "This Moment Captured" Phrases on Cricut Design Space: Best Friend title American Crafts: Dear Lizzy ephemera Basic Grey: ephemera Thank you so much for stopping by! I've been working hard on my Christmas album and I have to admit it's a bit tough to do so many layouts with the same theme. I tend to get a little bored and start to lose creativity. However, sketches seem to help me solve this issue. Sketches in Thyme has a fun sketch that I decided to work with.  Here is the sketch: My Layout: This layout was pretty simple to put together.  I was very simplistic with this one, which isn't my normal. I used a banner from the Bits and Pieces Cricut cartridge to go under each of the photos. Then I cut out a basic square to also go under the photos.  The Title comes from the Phrases cartridge. The paper is all Bo Bunny: Winter Joy I used the remaining paper pieces to add a few embellishments like the frame over the top photo and the arrow on the frame, as well as the arrow at the bottom on the photo.  I hope you enjoyed my layout, thank you for stopping by! Blessings,

Let's Scrap 4th of July 2017

Image
So I've been on a bit of a slump. I scrap-booked so much in February that I ended up taking last month off. Not intentionally but it did happen. I got really into a book I was reading (Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah) that as soon as it was done I read the sequel (Fly Away). At that point I really just got into a reading kick. So, March was all about books. Now it April and I'm back at it. Hopefully a bit more regular again.  I'm in July 2017 for my family album and decided to use the following Let's Scrap sketch for my photos. This was a fun sketch to do. As you can see I did alter the way I did the photos. Instead of using 9 small squares/photos I used that space for 4 photos. It just worked out better for what I was working with. But, if I come across some photos that I can cut up small than I may have to use this sketch again! The Sketch: My Take: To Create this layout:  Creative Memories: paper pack Project Life: High Five - "Makes me...
