Fun At Silverwood

Image
One of our favorite places to spend the summer is at our local amusement park, Silverwood . The water park is the best place to be on a hot day and we spent plenty of time there! To scrap some pics I took of Grace and her friend Scout I used a challenge put up by the Lasting Memories Layout Challenges blog.  The Challenge: LM #530 - "Places" - Create a layout of a favorite place you've visited.  Perhaps it's a landmark, a city, the beach, a favorite restaurant, etc. My Layout: To Create this Layout I used: DCWV: Sweet & Sassy Paper stack Project Life: "Explore" photo overlay American Crafts: "Colorful" puffy stickers Jillibean Soup: Puffy Stickers Twine from my stash Cuttlebug diecutting machine: tag dies Washi tape from my stash Thank you so much for stopping by, Blessings,

Early Gift

Image
In the last few years we have started a new tradition around Christmas time. We have started to have an early family gift or two throughout the month before Christmas. The idea behind this is that the kids get to open an early gift and that gift leads to some quality family fun time. This year we had gotten a good deal on laser guns during Black Friday. Instead of saving them we decided to make this the early family gift! It was a huge hit and even Jason and I had fun running around shooting at the kids.  To scrap this these photos I used a sketch from the Sketch n Scrap blog, one of my favorite sketch challenge sites.  The Sketch: My Layout: To Create this Layout: Fancy Pants Designs: Happy Holidays by Jackie Eckles - Snowfall paper Christmas tag and sticker from my stash Heidi Swapp: Glitter Ephemera  Bits and Pieces Cricut Cartridge: banner 'Awesome' Cricut Font and Pen: title Washi tape from stash Thank you so much for ...

As For Me and My House

Image
We went down to the court house last year, and I can't remember the reason - probably something to do with the porch cover or shed we were building (permits?). Anyway, out in front of the court house was the Ten Commandments. I loved it!!! So, of course, I had to get photos of the kids with it.  To scrap these photos I used a sketch from Let's Get Sketchy  and wrapped it in with a challenge from A Cherry on Top  - Manufacturers Challenge - using manufactures that began with the letters M and B. I chose to use Bella Blvd paper and Me & My Big Ideas chipboard stickers. Check out the layout below! The Sketch: My Layout: To Create this layout I used: Bella Blvd: Illustrated Faith - Bright and Brave paper pack Me & My Big Ideas: Chipboard stickers Simple Stories: photo overlay Cricut Design Space Image: banner Lovesvg.com: verse  Cricut pen: to write verse using DS Washi Tape Thank you so much for stopping by!...

Puppy Love 2

There are so many adorable photos to scrap of Ahoska! In fact the majority of our layouts for 2018 are about her so far! Well I suppose that is to be expected when you get a new pup! I took some photos of Grace walking Ahsoka, and I had to scrap them.  I used a challenge from Lasting Memories  challenge blog for the photos. I will also enter this in a challenge on A Cherry On Top challenge forum for the Scraplift the GD challenge.   Lasting Memories  challenge: Pick 3 - You will be given a list of items and you need to pick 3 items from the list to use on your layout. You can use more than 3 items and you can use things that are not on the list. Just let us know what 3 items you used. Here is the list: Hearts 3 photos polka dots List style journaling tags doily stickers - puffy, chipboard, cardstock, etc. washi tape  buttons A Cherry On Top challenge The layout I choose to scrap lift is: My Version of the...

Let's Scrap - Scrap Retreat

Image
In 2017 our annual scrapbooking retreat was very memorable. It snowed. . . a lot! We ended up loosing power for about 5 hours in the morning. It was actually a fun experience. I work so much with my Cricut that it was an awesome challenge to create layouts and to not use the Cricut for them. Despite the awesome challenge of creating without diecuts, I was very excited when the power came back on!  I used the left side of the below sketch from Let's Scrap  to create my layout. My Layout: To Create My Layout I used: Pink Paislee: Switchboard paper stack Mambi Chips: chipboard stickers Small Talk Frames & Tags Cricut Cartridge: frames The Girls Paperie by Margie: Paper Girl - letter stickers "Retreat" Washi and brackets: from stash Thank you so much for stopping by!!! Let's Scrap 4th of July 2017

Image
So I've been on a bit of a slump. I scrap-booked so much in February that I ended up taking last month off. Not intentionally but it did happen. I got really into a book I was reading (Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah) that as soon as it was done I read the sequel (Fly Away). At that point I really just got into a reading kick. So, March was all about books. Now it April and I'm back at it. Hopefully a bit more regular again.  I'm in July 2017 for my family album and decided to use the following Let's Scrap sketch for my photos. This was a fun sketch to do. As you can see I did alter the way I did the photos. Instead of using 9 small squares/photos I used that space for 4 photos. It just worked out better for what I was working with. But, if I come across some photos that I can cut up small than I may have to use this sketch again! The Sketch: My Take: To Create this layout:  Creative Memories: paper pack Project Life: High Five - "Makes me...
