Disc Golf

Image
We love to go camping with my parents and one of the places we like to go is Farragut State Park . They have 4 different disc golf courses which are a blast to play on. What could be better than trying not to lose your disc in the woods? And no we haven't lost one  yet.  For this layout I used a sketch from Sketches in Thyme . This layout is being used on the challenge forum at A Cherry On Top , and I'll enter my layout there. I will also be entering a challenge on the Lasting Memories blog as well as the Scrap Our Stash blog.  My Layout: The Sketch: The Challenge on  the  Scrap Our Stash  blog:   The Challenge on the  Lasting Memories  blog: LM #484 - Stamps - Let's see some stamped images on your layout My Layout and what I used: My Mind's Eye: Simply Delightful paper stack Babette Design Space Font: quote on tag Tags, Bags, Boxes & More Cricut Cartridge: tag Small Talk Frame...

Let's Scrap Layout Challenge 2-12-14

Image
There's another great sketch up at Let's Scrap  that you should check out. I had some great pics for this one and loved the use of tags, since I tend to forget about using tags a lot! Here's the sketch: Here's my take: The paper comes from DCWV My Sunshine Stack, the title was cut using the Playtime cartridge and the tags come from the Tags, Bags, and Boxes cartridge. I used some twine to tie off my tags - a very simple but fun layout! Thanks for stopping by! Blessing to you,

Thank You Card

Image
This week at Cut It Up  we are getting into the swing of Thanksgiving, as it is soon approaching. This is the time of year that we make an effort to voice our thankfulness and that is exactly what we want to do for this challenge. We are asked to make a Thank You card that includes a digital or stamped image and a die-cut. Don't forget that die-cut :) Here's mine. For this card I used the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut Cartridge to cut out the bird house. I embossed it to give it a little texture and then cut out a tag using the Tags, Bags, and Boxes Cricut Cartridge. On the tag I used a definition stamp that had the definition of thanks and then I heat embossed it using some copper colored embossing powder and versa mark ink. I hope you enjoyed my card and now it is your turn to go to  Cut It Up  and link up your creation!

National Tooth Fairy Day

Image
Hello all, it's time for another awesome challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut !   This week we are celebrating National Tooth Fairy Day.  Did you know that there was such a thing? I did not, but hey why not? This week I had the awesome opportunity to work with some stamps from Jaded Blossom , who also happens to be our sponsor for this weeks challenge. This stamp was way too cute and I'm excited to show you my project!  Check it out:  I decided to make a Tooth Deposit Box for when my daughter begins to loose her teeth, which is right around the corner. When she has a tooth come out she can put it here instead of underneath her pillow and then in the morning she can see what the tooth fairy left her.  The box came from the Tags, Bags, and Boxes Cricut Cartridge. I choose to cut the matchbox off page 123 at 4" and then the inside of the box on page 124 at 3.9".  The large tooth on the front of the box comes from the A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge...

Mother's Day: A Gift Idea From Me

Image
This week at Cooking With Cricut  we are challenged to come up with a gift idea for Mother's Day. The catch? No cards allowed. Thats ok, because lately doing 3D projects have been very intriguing for me. So for this challenge I decided to 3D it. Using the Tags, Bags, and Boxes Cricut Cartridge I cut out this adorable purse. I embellished it with a flower and brad and used fiber as my handle. The paper comes from the DCWV La Creme stack. Now I have a very cute gift purse to fill up with some fun chocolate goodies and maybe even a coffee card! The nice thing about this gift purse is that its stands on its own, which makes it perfect to display on a shelf in your home. So, it's not only a gift box/purse but it's also home decor! Love it! Now it's your turn, what non card project can you come up with? Upload it to Cooking With Cricut  this week and see if you can take the prize!

I Love You!

I recently discovered a great new challenge blog, ok not new but new to me. The blog is called Cooking With Cricut . So, I decided to join in on their challenge this week. The challenge was to create a grown up valentine using the color black and brads. I dry embossed a black peice of cardstock and punched the corners using a Martha Stewart Corner Punch. I cut the heart and the sentiment base from the Tie The Knot Cricut Cartrige. I stamped the sentiment base with versamark ink and then used silver embossing powder over the top. For my brads I attached two heart shaped brads on either side of the sentiment after threading some black fiber through the holes. ******************************************* The layout below was made for a challenge on the Let's Scrap  forum. This is a great resource for sketches, if you like to scrap using sketches. They have cards and layout sketches to work from, plus great challenges every week. Below is the sketch and then my ...
