Scrapbook Retreat 2016

Image
I am working hard trying to get caught up in my family scrapbook album. I'm just about 2 years behind. Today I am showing you a layout that I created with a picture from the scrap-booking retreat I went on in 2016. Considering I just went to this years scrapbook retreat last weekend I'd say I'm definitely 2 years behind - ouch! To be fair, our trip to DisneyWorld did get in the way of my normal family albums, but I had to take some time for that! Anyway, for this layout I decided to use a sketch from the  Sketches In Thyme  blog. The Sketch: My Take: To Create this Layout I used: Colorbok - Signature paper pad Computer font - Aqua Primas, brads, and embossing dies Thank you for stopping by, Blessings,

Let's Scrap - Birthday

Image
This sketch put out by Let's Scrap  was so much fun to work with. I love working with DCWV and especially when it's bright and colorful. We had gone to Arizona to visit a close friend of ours and we were there over my son's 7th birthday. We decided to celebrate by going to this awesome place called Flip Side. They had bumper cars, bowling, laser tag, and an arcade. The kids had a blast and it turned out to be an awesome way to spend a 7th birthday. Check it out below! The Sketch: My Take: To Create this Layout I used: DCWV: My Sunshine Stack Don Juan Cricut Cartridge - title font Cricut Decals cartridge - bowler and bumper car/driver Something to Celebrate cartridge - flgas vellum photo overlay from my stash chipboard from stash washi tape from stash And now a closer look: Thank you so much for stopping by, Blessings,

Tom Sawyer's Island

Image
If you ask my kids what their favorite part of the Magic Kingdom was you would get " Tom Sawyer's Island". I'll admit it wasn't what I expected to hear, but it does say a lot about kids in general. They love to explore and sometimes the most exciting adventures aren't the exciting craze of the Disney World rides but the simpleness of a park and a sense of adventure. They loved going through the caves and exploring the fort. Just the freedom to run excited them after being so closely watched as we made our way through the Disney parks.  To this day they talk about about going back and spending more hours running through the trees, across bridges, and into caves. I suppose we will make sure to block out a chunk of time for this on our next trip to Disney World. To Create this layout I used: Paper House: One Big Happy Family paper stack corrugated cardboard  Computer Font: Sloppy Paint Project Life: Explore - diecuts and Photo overlays My Mind

Let's Scrap - Pirates

Image
I love this months sketch from Let's Scrap so much that I used it again to scrapbook our trip into Adventure Land in Disney's Magic Kingdom. I didn't have very many good pictures from the ride itself because the camera on my phone wasn't the best and it was dark in the ride (I have since gotten an I-Phone 8 plus which I think would do a better job). I had two photos that turned out semi ok so I decided to put those on the tags and then just scrap the photos the photographers took outside the ride. It isn't very piratey but I think it turned out cute!  The Sketch:  My Take: To Create this layout I used: Simple Stories: Say Cheese paper pack Simple Stories: Say Cheese II - diecuts Picturesque Cricut Cartridge - tags Blackletter Cricut Cartridge - title font SVGCoop : Esty store - "Dead Men Tell No Tales" and the keys Krinkle Ribbon Distressing Ink Now for a closer look: Thank you so much for stopping
