Bowling

Image
We don't go bowling often because my kids like it but don't love it. I took some photos when we went with some friends. Figured I better scrap one of the few times we actually bowl! To scrap these photos I used a sketch challenge from the Sketch n Scrap challenge blog . I changed it a little bit to add a second photo. My Layout: The Sketch: To Create this Layout I Used: American Crafts Project Life: kraft edition paper pack Echo Park: The Story of Our Family sticker elements - journal strips Little Yellow Bicycle: chipboard stickers - star and "chillin" tabby Illustrated Faith Bella Blvd: diecuts - "let's do this" and tabby Suburbia Cricut DS Image: bowling pin and bowling shoe Zaragoza Std Font via the DS: title "Bowling" Twine from my stash Now it's your turn! Thank you so much for stopping by! Blessings,

Blue Dog RV

Image
My daughter landed the lead in a local RV commercial last year, Blue Dog RV . She had a blast playing the part of the Orientation Specialist. She had quite a few lines and some changed the day of the shoot. She was a trooper and amazed the director with her ability to memorize so quickly. It was also my son's first time being in a commercial. Unfortunately, his part ended up on the cutting room floor. But, if you look closely you can see him in the background in the beginning of the commercial. Tough breaks. He was part of the day so on the layout he goes! If you want to check out the commercial click HERE .  My Take on the Sketch: The Sketch: To Create this Layout I used: Amy Tangerine: Sketchbook paper stack Suburbia Cricut Design Space - camper When I Was a Kid - film strip (title base) Simple Celebrations - font Video camera and Clapper - FreePik Miss Kate's Cuttables - fimstrip Kaisercraft: Distressed Overlays Thank you so much for stopping by!!! Let's Scrap - Festive of Fantasy

Image
This week at Let's Scrap  is a sketch that challenged me! If  you really look at it, there are a lot of elements to it if you want to follow it exactly. I mostly followed it with a some small deters. I decided, for the way I wanted my title to look, that I should swap the tags and the title so that I wouldn't be cutting my title in half. I also moved one of my horizontal pictures to the left because I really didn't want to split up Peter Pan and Wendy. That would be just wrong, I tell you! I also decided against making the left photo strip into a flap. However, I did incorporate the flap booklet which turned out great as I had more pictures that I wanted to include. Overall, even though this sketch challenged me it was also the most fun to do! I really hope y'all give this one a try! THE SKETCH: MY TAKE: To Create this Layout I used: Bella Blvd: Illustrated Faith - Bright & Brave paper pack Cricut Cartridges: Bits and Pieces - arrow,...

Let's Scrap - First Time Flight

Image
The  Let's Scrap  Challenge blog has a great sketch up! It's simple and sweet. Sometimes I really like to embellish my layouts, but this time I found myself really wanting to leave it simplified. Sometimes that works best, though it's actually pretty tough for me to do :)! I decided to use my photos from when we took a trip to visit my best friend in Arizona. It was the kids first time on an airplane. They were both so nervous but by the time we were up in the air they were laughing and enjoying the ride.  The Sketch: My Take: To Create this Layout I used: DCWV: Marquee paper stack Suburbia Cricut Cartridge - title font Summer Vacation Cricut Cartridge - plane Bits and Pieces Cricut Cartridge - tags Photo Overlay from my stash chipboard from my stash Recollections - washi tape plane tickets - an online image  A closer look Thank you so much for stopping by!
