Back To School 2015

I found a site recently that had some great sketches, yes I love sketches ;). I may have just refound them and I'm not remembering but nevertheless, Creative Scrappers had a great sketch that I decided to use for my back to school pics of the kids.

Sibling Love

I didn't get to take too many pics of our surprise trip to the Silver Mountain Resort, because we were there mostly for the water park, but I did get this adorable one of them hugging on the bench before checking into our room. It went perfect with the sketch that Stuck?! had up for this month on their challenge blog.

Cool in the Pool

I've been seeing lots of these shaker cards being made and posted online lately and when it came up that we were to use sequins in this weeks challenge I decided it was time that I tried making one. My mother's birthday is on Valentines Day so I decided to make her a birthday/valentines day card. 

Sewing Camp 2015

My daughter goes to a sewing camp at our church every summer. This particular year she made a quilt and pillow case. The picture of her holding her quilt was so adorable I had to scrap it. The sketch on the Stick It Down blog was perfect for it!

I Will Always Love You

It's the not the best photo that I have of me and my family, however, it was such a cute one of all of use that I had to use it. It seemed perfect for the challenge on GrandDiva's Creative Corner blog and I paired it with the sketch challenge on Rochelle Spears blog

The title of the song worked perfectly for my photo so I just used it for my title.

Cousins and Chaps

I love all the photos I take of the cousins together. They are so close, get along fantastically, and just love each other. I had some great photos of when we all met up at this fantastic restaurant that my aunt and uncle own, Chaps. The Scrap Room Blog had the perfect sketch for these photos! And the Scrap Our Stash had a great tic tac toe challenge that I used as well!

Horse Party

My daughter was invited to one of her good friend's birthday parties. The party was held at a local stable and the kids got the opportunity to learn about horses, as well as ride them. It was such a fun experience and what a great idea for a birthday party.  Even More Scrapping had a great sketch for a challenge this week that was perfect for the amount of photos that I wanted to scrap!

Frogs

We went to the beach and the kids found this small frog. At first they were too scared to touch it but soon they were holding it and hunting for more.  I thought this layout sketch from Let's Get Sketchy would be great for these two pictures.

As you may have read in my last blog post, I recently discovered Pocket Letters, which was created by Jeanette Lane. I have participated in a number of Pocket Letter swaps now and I'm hooked. Running on Coffee and Jesus

Cut It Up  is having a "Hot Drink" challenge, and who am I to say no to a hot drink?! Especially if it involves coffee (my other obsession)! I love to make card packs and this seemed like the perfect excuse to make a set of cards revolving around Coffee!
