First Day of School

Image
This was the first day of 7th grade for Grace and 6th grade for Elijah. Elijah was heading off to STEM Charter and Grace was headed to Christian Center School. About two months into the school year we actually ended up pulling Elijah out of STEM and putting him into CCS with Grace. Going to two different schools every morning and afternoon ended up being a bit much especially since they were not close to each other. This ended up being a really good decision as this school year (as everyone knows) ended up quite unexpectedly! To scrap their first day of school photos I used a challenge from The ScrapRoom Blog , as well as a challenge from ACOT - A Cherry On Top in order to create a double layout! My Layout: The Challenges: The ScrapRoom Blog My Layout: ACOT Challenge: Make the Cut 3/4 x 10 2 1/4 x 9 1/2 2 1/4 x 11 6 x 6 My Layout: To Create this layout I used: Piggy Tales: Georgie Porgie Collection paper BoBunny: Back to Backs paper Echo Park: Teacher's Pet - stickers Split Monogr...

Festival of Lights

I've been working hard on my Christmas album and I have to admit it's a bit tough to do so many layouts with the same theme. I tend to get a little bored and start to lose creativity. However, sketches seem to help me solve this issue. Sketches in Thyme has a fun sketch that I decided to work with.  Here is the sketch: My Layout: This layout was pretty simple to put together.  I was very simplistic with this one, which isn't my normal. I used a banner from the Bits and Pieces Cricut cartridge to go under each of the photos. Then I cut out a basic square to also go under the photos.  The Title comes from the Phrases cartridge. The paper is all Bo Bunny: Winter Joy I used the remaining paper pieces to add a few embellishments like the frame over the top photo and the arrow on the frame, as well as the arrow at the bottom on the photo.  I hope you enjoyed my layout, thank you for stopping by! Blessings,

Woodland Park Zoo

Image
I have taken a bit of a break on scrapbooking this summer, it's definitely been hit or miss on my crafting time! All for good reason, we have been really busy with all sorts of summer activities. I did decided to sit down and start a layout at the beginning of this week. It ended up taking me 4 days to get this one done. And really that's just because I would sit for a few minutes in my craftroom working on it and then getting distracted with other activities.  For this layout I decided to use a sketch from the Stick It Down challenge blog. I scrapped our trip to the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle.  The Sketch: My Take: To Create this layout: The Paper Studio: Ninth Street paper stack Cricut Basic Shapes - circle shapes Bo Bunny: Zip-A-Dee-Doodle - "Oct" sticker 7 Gypsies: Vacation & Travel Voyage - quote stickers Chipboard letters from my stash - title Thank you so much for stopping by!
