Glass Blocks Pinned and Created

Image
I am so excited, as this is my first post for the blog! I love Pintrest and all the grand ideas it gives for me for. . . well everything!  One of my favorite pins has been the glass blocks. I have made a few in the past with images on them. I founds some that had just a letter and I thought that they looked so elegant. I had a wedding coming up and decided that I should make them something. I looked at several ideas, chose one, then changed my mind, chose another, and then changed my mind again. Finally, I made a decision. Below is the glass block that gave me my inspiration. You can see the orginial creation by visiting  Finding Time to Create . Which if you like her project then I encourage you to visit and let her know! You will, also, find this pictured pinned to my Pinterest boards  Stuff I've Done/Tried .  Feel free to visit me on Pinterest and be a follower! Now, for my creations inspired by the above! The frame comes from...

Abusive Relationship Awareness Blog Hop

Image
Welcome to the Abusive Relationship Awareness Blog Hop. While this may not be your typical blog hop theme, we decided to put together this hop in order to shed light on a topic that often goes unspoken about, when the truth is many of us have either been in an abusive relationship or know of someone who has. We're here not to celebrate abusive relationships, but to bring hope to those who have been firsthand or secondhand victims and to provide awareness to help put an end to this growing problem.  All of our projects showcased in this hop have something to do with hope, love, and encouragement. The color for domestic violence is purple, and as you'll see purple was used on many of our projects. For my project, I created.... A "Let's Connect" journal. A place where my husband and I can leave each other messages, telling each other how we feel about whatever is going on. It's a safe place to share. We started this journal when we first got married...

Cricut Cartridge Showcase

Image
Hello, my name is Jamie and I am here to showcase one of my newest and current favorite Cricut Cartridge. This cartridge is the New Testament Cartridge. This cart has so much to offer. From home decor possibilities, church projects, gifts to layouts and cards. This cartridge has many features including: Biblical Characters and illustrations, Scripture, Books, Books Shadow, Fish and Crosses. I have some examples of things that I have made using this cartridge below. If you want more ideas on how to use the cartridge you can click Here . I used vinyl and cut the cross out from the New Testament card and adhered it to a glass block that I bought from Hobby Lobby. I used some ribbon and fiber to embellish it and stuck a light in through the bottom. It looks awesome when lit up, unfortunately the picture didnt. Last year we went the 'Journey to the Cross' live Easter production at a local church. They reenacted the Jesus's crucifiction and resurrection outside on their...

Happy Easter Everyone!

Image
Over at Cooking With Cricut  there is an Easter challenge going on! Easter to me is all about my Lord and Savior, so when we were asked to do a project that was Easter themed, I knew just what I wanted to do! Last year we went to a church that put on a live reenactment of Jesus's time on earth, His crucifiction and His resurrection. My layout below is all about His resurrection. Jesus did not stay dead, He died for our sins and then rose again on the 3rd day so that we may go live with Him in Heaven one day for all eternity. What an amazing sacrifice He made for me and you! Not mention that we don't have to do anything at all to earn this gift as it is free, all we have to do is ask for it! Thank You Jesus! This layout was made using two cartridges. The New Testament Cricut Cartridge was used to cut out the tomb and the Inspired Heart Cricut Lite Catridge was used to cut out the He Is Risen sentiment. I used the negative cuts from the green grass of the tomb to add...

Happy Birthday Mom and a Valentines Project!

Image
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! I Love You!! Here's a valentines project that I've been working on and finally finished this morning! Well, it wasn't that it took a long time to do - it just took me a long time to figure out how I wanted to the embellishment to look! It's Valentine's Day and I pray that everyone reading my blog today has a wonderful day! This day reminds me of how much Jesus did for us and how much He must love us to do what He did, die on the cross so that we might someday live with Him. I'd say that is the best Valentine's Day gift a person could get. Fortunately, everyone can have this gift - Hooray! All you have to do is ask and it's yours - see V-day isn't all bad :) even if you don't have a love in your life, well you do :) So, my project today is just that - I made a reminder for myself and my family that Jesus is the ultimate Valentines Day gift! "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever...
