@ Back to School

Image
Last year was Grace's first year of Jr. High. She was also going to a new school. It was a local Christian private school. This current school year we decided to back to homeschooling but this particular year was a lot of fun as they were given lockers and schedules for changing classes. She felt like such a big kid, which "sniff sniff" she is. I had to sneak these photos because it was embarrassing LOL. To scrap these photos I used a challenge found at the Scrap Our Stash challenge blog. The Mountains are Calling

Image
For these fun photos taken at Lookout Pass Ski Resort I decided to use a sketch from the  Scrap Our Stash  blog. This was suppposed to be a cartoon inspired sketch challenge. I will say that my layout started out inspired by the colors of the Smurfs but them morphed into the layout you see below. Does it count if it started out inspired???? What happened was that I had papers of the smurf holiday colors but then remembered that I had bought a kit from Simple Stories specifically for snowboarding photos and then it moved in a different direction entirely. I do have my bow on there as well as gold lettering in my title.  Here's my layout below: And the layout and cartoon inspiration: To Create my Layout I used: Simple Stories: Sub Zero base paper, stickers, chipboard, diecuts Fancy Pants: Timbergrove - background square papers and tag Free SVG file online: Title  Stampin Up: green bow paperclip twine I used the following sketch from A...

Early Gift

Image
In the last few years we have started a new tradition around Christmas time. We have started to have an early family gift or two throughout the month before Christmas. The idea behind this is that the kids get to open an early gift and that gift leads to some quality family fun time. This year we had gotten a good deal on laser guns during Black Friday. Instead of saving them we decided to make this the early family gift! It was a huge hit and even Jason and I had fun running around shooting at the kids.  To scrap this these photos I used a sketch from the Sketch n Scrap blog, one of my favorite sketch challenge sites.  The Sketch: My Layout: To Create this Layout: Fancy Pants Designs: Happy Holidays by Jackie Eckles - Snowfall paper Christmas tag and sticker from my stash Heidi Swapp: Glitter Ephemera  Bits and Pieces Cricut Cartridge: banner 'Awesome' Cricut Font and Pen: title Washi tape from stash Thank you so much for ...

Let's Scrap - Beach Fun

Image
It's time for another awesome sketch over at the Let's Scrap  blog! This one was a great challenge. At first glance I was like, maybe I'll just do the one side????? I wasn't sure how to get the design on the left side. But, using Cricut Design Space and the splice feature I was able to make the design. I decided to use some beach photos for a fun summer layout. The Sketch: To Create this Layout I used: DCWV: Collage Art paper stack Fancy Pants: True Friend - photo frame Fancy Pants: Wave Searcher - chipboard stickers Pack Your Bags Cricut Cartridge - Beach Fun title Small Talk Frames and Tags cartridge: triangular shapes (used splicing feature to adjust) Cuttlebug - die cutting - wave Thank you so much for stopping by!
