My Scraps and More is having a fun online crop: 12 Days of Christmas! I'm a little slow on the uptake, but here is my day 1 challenge based of the following sketch: For this layout I used two Cricut cartridges. The title comes from the Summer Vacation Cart and the bicycle comes from the Just Because Cards cart. The stickers in the lower left corner are from 7 Gypsies. Oh yes, and the little bird comes from the 3 Birds on Parade cartridge. Sorry, I forgot about that little guy. If this this sketch looks like fun, head on over to the  My Scraps and More  forum and join in the fun! Till next time,

Columbus Day

Image
This week at  Fantabulous Cricut  we are celebrating Columbus Day. We are asked to make a project using a ship cricut cut. This turned out to be a very fun challenge for me. Check out my project below. I decided to make a card. I used the ship from Wall Decor and More and attached it to two welded cards from the Just Because Cards Cricut Cartridge. I welded two cards bases together with my gypsy to create a card that would open in the middle. See the opened card below. This is the card when it is opened up. Thanks for looking at my project this week. Now it's your turn to create a project using a ship cut and don't forget to upload it to  Fantabulous Cricut !

Thanks a Latte and a Gyspy Welding Tip

Image
Just for fun, I was using my Love You A Latte Cricut Cartridge and decided to make a quick thank you card, since I'm getting low in my stash of cards. Check it out. I used my gypsy to weld the two coffee cups together to create the card and then proceeded with the layers as usual. I used Just Because Cards Cricut Cartridge to cut out the "Thanks a" to go before the "latte". Simple and to the point, but totally cute! Here's a gyspy tip for creating shape cards:  On the same layout page screen copy your image (the coffee cup) and then place the second image directly over the orginal. Then using the inverted image button on the advanced editing options turn it upside down. Now use your arrows to move the image down (down only or side only depending how you want your card to open). When it gets to where you want it to fold then stop and group the images together, then weld them. This is the easiest way to get your images to match best when you go to clo...

Fun With Puns at Fantabulous Cricut

Image
This week is a fun challenge over at the  Fantabulous Cricut  blog.  We are asked to create a project or card using a funny title or phrase. I had a lot of fun putting this card together. A friend of mine came over to scrap and she had just bought the Love You a Latte Cricut Lite cartridge. Now this is a cartridge that I have been coveting but haven't brought myself to buy at full price yet. She let me play with it and the below card was the result. The phrase comes from the Just Because Card Cricut Cartridge and the coffee cup and coffee beans come from the Love You a Latte Cricut Lite Cartridge. To give the card a little depth I dry embossed the  coffee beans and the phrase. The paper comes from the DCWV Luxury paper stack. I had a lot of fun doing this card, now it's your turn!

Explosion Box Challenge

Image
It's time for a Made Especially For You monday challenge!! This week's challenge is make an explosion box. Now this seems overwhelming at first, but I encourage you to try it. It really is a worthwhile and fun project to make. Take a look below at the explosion box I made for this challenge and keep scrolling for a look at an explosion box that I made for a Christmas gift exchange last year. I decided to make this box to showcase our family pictures for each year during the fall season. I began with the first year of my daughter's life and so on. So, I currently have four years of fall seasons represented and plan to add to this box each year. When I am done there will be 20 years worth of family pictures. The cross diecut is from the Inspired Heart cartridge, the praying girl and boy are from the Chore Chart Lite cartridge and the corn diecuts are from the Just Because Cards cartridge. Here is the view from the otherside of the explosion box. And now, for a look at...
