Fantabulous Cricut Crawl: Getting Organized

Get Organized Cricut Crawl

Welcome to my blog and the Ninth  Fantabulous Cricut Crawl...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a Blog Hop!
Well Christmas is over and with it so is 2012 and now it's time for a New Year and a little organization. I know that's what I've been doing lately; making room for new toys and more crafty stuff! ...each Design Team member will be featuring an organizational idea for the house in general, the offic, the kitchen, etc. along with at least ONE Cricut Cut.

If you've come from visiting Connie, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE.
Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "Get Organized" project at FCCB!

And now for my organizational project:

I turned a Cheerios cereal box into a catch all for my daughters school work and homework papers that she comes home with each day.
Now instead of accumulating on the kitchen counter they have their own place right next to the kids coat rack. Then all we have to do is empty it out when it gets full.
My cricut cut comes from the Winter Woodland Cricut cartridge. I used the letters from that cartridge to create the title: Grace Homework.

I hope you enjoyed my organizational idea!

Now it's your turn! Let's see your organizational projects! Make sure to include a Cricut Cut somewhere on your project!
Next stop..Brianna. Go see what she has in store for you today... And when you're done, make sure to link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest!

Pins To Creation - Chalkboard Paint

Welcome back for another Pinterest inspired creation for the Pins to Creation blog!

For this post I decided to make a very fun project for my best friend who recently moved to Denver, sigh :(

They were going to be making a long drive over from the state of Washington with their three kids, so a group of us from our church made each of the kids an activity bag. We stuffed the bags with all sorts of activities to keep them busy in the car. My contribution was inspired by the below project:

You can see this orginial project at Little Birdie Secrets

You will, also, find this picture pinned to my Pinterest boards Stuff I've Done/Tried
Feel free to visit me on Pinterest and be a follower!

Here's my project:

After painting the clipboards I had chipboard paint leftover so I painted this shadow box glassless frame for my daughter's room.

Thank you for visiting and checking out my Pinterest Project idea.

Be sure to come back Friday for another great idea on the Pins To Creations Blog!

Shape Card

Yay, one of my favorite types of cards to make are shape cards and that is what the challenge is this week at the Fantabulous Cricut Blog!

Being that we are getting awfully close to Christmas, I decided to make a Christmas card.

I used the Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge to make my card. Adding a little bit of glitter to the cage for an added effect.

Now, it's your turn to head on over to the Fantabulous Cricut Blog and upload your shape card!

White Elegance

This week through December 26th the challenge at Cut It Up is to create an ALL white card with only a small touch of one other color, and please don't forget to use your diecut!!!!

Here's my card for this challenge:

To make this card I used glitter paper and fun edged scissors to cut the edge of it on the card. Behind the edge you can see some pretty polka dot ribbon.
The snow flakes come from the Winter Woodland Cricut Cartridge. They are shadowed using some silver metallic paper. I then added a jewel in the center of each snow flake to finish it off.

Now, it's your turn. Create an ALL white card with a diecut and upload it to the Cut It Up blog!

Pins to Creation - Pie Boxes

For this week's post here at Pins to Creation I am going to back track just a bit. Only in the sense that Thanksgiving is now behind us and my project today revolves around it.

My husband absolutely loves pumpkin pie and he has recently started a new job. Well, I do love to spoil him, especially this time of year. This year his team at work benefited from my spoiling my husband. I saw this great idea on Pinterest to make a pie using Sweet Tooth Boxes Cricut Cartridge.

Here is my inspiration:

Come back on Friday for another great idea!!!

Pins To Creation December Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pins to Creation Winter/Christmas/Hanukkah blog hop!!!

There are some fantastic projects for you to see and I hope you get inspired.

If you have just happened by and would like to start at the beginning than head on over to the Pins to Creation Blog. If you have come here from Jessica's blog than you are in the right place.

Here was my inspiration:

This orginally cam from Court at Court's Crafts

This orginally came from Donna at Popsicle Toes

Like usual you can see these pictures on my Pinterest boards.

On to my projects:

I used the Winter Woodland Cricut Cartridge to create my card and instead of doing the background embossed (too big to fit into my textured boutique embosser) I used pretty glitter paper.

I used the idea rather than to copy her card directly. I loved how she layered the sentiment. I did the same thing using three layers of the shadow feature for the base of each word. Such a simple card, but the layering makes it special. I, also, embossed the top layer of the words. This sentiment also came from the Winter Woodland Cricut Cartridge.

I hope you enjoyed my winter cards and now it's time to visit Esther to see what she has come up with for the hop!!!

Snow Card

Hello and Happy Monday to you!

It is time for another challenge from the Fantabulous Cricut blog. This week the theme is to create a snow themed project using snow or a snowman. Now my absolute favorite winter icon is the snowman, so this project was a bit of fun for me! I decided to pair my snowman up with my other favorite winter thing. . . coffee!

I loved how this coffee cup and snowman from the Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge. There were so many snowman on that cartridge to choose from but this one, when paired up with the coffee had just the right look - a snowman that was so excited for a hot cup of joe.

Well, thank you for your visit and now I encourage you to create your own snow inspired project and upload it to  Fantabulous Cricut!

3D Holiday Project

I am so excited about this weeks challenge. We are to make a 3D project for the holidays, any holiday :) Well, Thanksgiving is coming up and we all have thankfulness in mind so I wanted to create a project in line with this holiday.

I decided to make a Gratitude box. I cut this box from the Sweet Tooth Boxes Cricut Cartridge. The slit on the top was welded using my gyspy and the George and Basic Shapes Cricut Cartridge. Now, on Thanksgiving my family will all write on slips of paper what we are thankful for and slip it in the box. And next year we can go through the old and see what God has done for us!

Thanks for looking at my project this week, now it's your turn!

Be Ye Thankful

It's time for another challenge coming from the Fantabulous Cricut Blog and this week we are looking forward to Thanksgiving and all it stands for.
The challenge this week is to make a Thank You card, sweet and simple.

Check out mine below.

I used my Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge for the Thank you and the Gyspy Wanderings off my gyspy for the base that the sentiment is sitting on.
I added some corners and crinkle ribbon to embellish my card.

Now, it's your turn. Head on over to the Fantabulous Cricut Blog and upload  your Thank you card!

Pins To Creation - Freezer Meals & Menu

Welcome back for another Pintrest inspired creation for the Pins to Creation blog

This week I am featuring a fabulous freezer meals idea that comes from blog The Test Kitchen of Melissa . This lady is amazing, I will say this right up front. I highly recommend giving her freezer meals a try, because they truly are good! I tried all of her

Freezer Cooking #2

and I, nor any member of my family, had one complaint. In fact, I will do it all again.

You will, also, find this picture pinned to my Pinterest boards Stuff I've Done/Tried
Feel free to visit me on Pinterest and be a follower!

Here is a quick list of the meals with my notes in red:

Here is the menu for Freezer Cooking Round 2:
·         Chicken Pot Pie (3) *this is 4-6 servings PER PIE  (I got 4 pies out of this, so good)
·         ShreddedPork BBQ (3)  Amazing!
·         Chicken with Honey Sauce (2) Mmmmm
·         Oh So Easy Pork Chops (2)  Easy and good
·         Sesame Chicken (2)  So great for stir fry, my kids love it!
·         Marinated & Baked Pork Chops (4)  Yummm
·         Marinated Steak (2)  Oh my gosh, sooooo goood!
·         Twice Baked Potatoes (approx  24)  These weren't the best until I added some  Grill Mates® Roasted Garlic & Herb Seasoning and now we've eaten them all and I want more!

Here are some pics of my results when putting my freezer meals together.

I highly recommend reading all of her blog post for these freezer meals, as she has some great tips and reasons for doing what she did.

Now, for one more Pintrest inspired project. This is a project that I have posted once before, but I made another one and I thought that it would be appropriate with todays Pintrest project feature.

Here is the original:

and here is the original one that I made from the above idea:

and here's the newest one I made. Made this one for a special friend of mine. Later, I found a note pad that better fit the colors and embellishments, however, I had already given it to here so you'll just have to imagine it with a better fitting notepad.

Well, thank you for checking out my latest Pintrest Inspired Project!

Don't forget to check back on Monday for another great project idea at the Pins to Creation blog!
