Blue Dog RV

Image
My daughter landed the lead in a local RV commercial last year, Blue Dog RV . She had a blast playing the part of the Orientation Specialist. She had quite a few lines and some changed the day of the shoot. She was a trooper and amazed the director with her ability to memorize so quickly. It was also my son's first time being in a commercial. Unfortunately, his part ended up on the cutting room floor. But, if you look closely you can see him in the background in the beginning of the commercial. Tough breaks. He was part of the day so on the layout he goes! If you want to check out the commercial click HERE .  My Take on the Sketch: The Sketch: To Create this Layout I used: Amy Tangerine: Sketchbook paper stack Suburbia Cricut Design Space - camper When I Was a Kid - film strip (title base) Simple Celebrations - font Video camera and Clapper - FreePik Miss Kate's Cuttables - fimstrip Kaisercraft: Distressed Overlays Thank you so much for stopping by!!! How to Design a Happy Planner using Design Space

Image
I have used Design Space in order to plan my layouts for a long time. It occurred to me that I could do the same thing with my Happy Planner Using basic shapes included in Design Space I recreated my Happy Planner in all 3 sizes on the canvas. From there I can apply and size images to create stickers. To use my templates click HERE Once I had placed and sized all the images I wanted. I flattened each image to create my sticker. I printed them out on sticker paper and then cut them with the cricut. Please note: for best results use the custom materials setting and search for sticker paper! Thank you so much for stopping by! Blessings,

Scrap Friends

Image
There is one event that I look forward to all  year long! It's the annual Scrapbooking Retreat that happens on October. I go with my friends and my sister and her/our friends. It is, without a doubt, so much fun. What could be better than spending an entire weekend doing nothing but scrapbooking and chatting with your friends?! There is a short hike and great view near the lodge where we stay and every year we try to get a little bit of exercise and then show that we did by taking a selfie at the top. To scrapbook this selfie I used a sketch from Sketch n Scrap .  The Layout: These are my scrap friends :) The Sketch: Another look at my layout: To Create this Layout I used: Carta Bella: Hello Again paper pack Miss Kate's Cuttables: banner Alexis Mattox - Emma Rae font - tag font Sentimentals Cricut Cartridge - tag Blueberry Regular system font via DS Carpe Diem: Faith - decorative clip twine Thank you so much for stoppi...

The Mountains are Calling

Image
For these fun photos taken at Lookout Pass Ski Resort I decided to use a sketch from the  Scrap Our Stash  blog. This was suppposed to be a cartoon inspired sketch challenge. I will say that my layout started out inspired by the colors of the Smurfs but them morphed into the layout you see below. Does it count if it started out inspired???? What happened was that I had papers of the smurf holiday colors but then remembered that I had bought a kit from Simple Stories specifically for snowboarding photos and then it moved in a different direction entirely. I do have my bow on there as well as gold lettering in my title.  Here's my layout below: And the layout and cartoon inspiration: To Create my Layout I used: Simple Stories: Sub Zero base paper, stickers, chipboard, diecuts Fancy Pants: Timbergrove - background square papers and tag Free SVG file online: Title  Stampin Up: green bow paperclip twine I used the following sketch from A...

Let's Scrap - The first Day

I am making a lot of progress on our family album. I'm finally into Sept 2017 with this layout here. I plan to scrap a lot this summer! My goal is to get to the point where I am scrapbooking current events. Hmmm, it is a lofty goal, but a girl has to have a goal!  Let's Scrap has another great sketch out for you! I had one extra photo that I just couldn't leave out, see the center photo on the left side, so I had to alter the sketch just a bit.  The Sketch: My Layout: To Create this Layout: DCWV: Just My Type paper stack Project Life: photo overlay Imaginisce: School - stickers Jolee's Boutique: School Words: 3D stickers Bits & Pieces Cricut Cartridge: banners Miss Kate's Cuttables : "1st Day of School" title A Closer look: Thank you so much for stopping by!!! Let's Scrap 4th of July 2017

Image
So I've been on a bit of a slump. I scrap-booked so much in February that I ended up taking last month off. Not intentionally but it did happen. I got really into a book I was reading (Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah) that as soon as it was done I read the sequel (Fly Away). At that point I really just got into a reading kick. So, March was all about books. Now it April and I'm back at it. Hopefully a bit more regular again.  I'm in July 2017 for my family album and decided to use the following Let's Scrap sketch for my photos. This was a fun sketch to do. As you can see I did alter the way I did the photos. Instead of using 9 small squares/photos I used that space for 4 photos. It just worked out better for what I was working with. But, if I come across some photos that I can cut up small than I may have to use this sketch again! The Sketch: My Take: To Create this layout:  Creative Memories: paper pack Project Life: High Five - "Makes me...
