4 Layouts 2 Pieces of Paper

Image
My biggest challenge in scrapbooking is using double sided pattern paper. Often times I just don't buy it because it is difficult for me to use. I love both sides, so which do I use, or do I have to buy double every time -which sometimes just doesn't work with my "budget". Ha ha, scrapbooking budget - that's funny. Well, my husband doesn't think so - which is very unfortunate, so careful I must be! Well, when it comes to specialty paper that I get for specific projects I like to make it go as far as I can -which normally means saving all sizes of the scraps to use on other pages. In this case I decided to use two pieces of paper to create a double layout. At first I was just going to cut the 4 inches off the bottoms of both and then glue to a white piece of paper to create two full layouts. And then it occurred to me to try and make it so I could scrap a page on all sides of the paper. So, using washi tape I taped the pieces of paper together - running the ...

Animal Kingdom

I've been having so much fun scrapbooking our Disney World trip and I'm only just getting started! I found a sketch on Sketch n Scrap  that worked great with the two pictures I took as we were getting ready to go into Animal Kingdom. There was a small coffee stand outside the entrance and we had skipped breakfast in our excitement for our fist Disney World park day- so perfect!  The sketch: My Take: To Create the Layout I used: Echo Park - Jungle Safari paper and stickers Noah's ABC's Cricut Cartridge - title font, lion, and giraffe Zooballoo Cricut Cartridge - vine The First Few Years Cricut Cartridge - monkey stickles and distressing ink Thank you so much for stopping by! Horse Party

My daughter was invited to one of her good friend's birthday parties. The party was held at a local stable and the kids got the opportunity to learn about horses, as well as ride them. It was such a fun experience and what a great idea for a birthday party.  Even More Scrapping had a great sketch for a challenge this week that was perfect for the amount of photos that I wanted to scrap! The Sketch: My Take: To Create this Layout: Cricut Cartridges:  Once Upon a Princess - Lucky Girl title Noah's ABC's - Horse and Neigh titles DCWV: The Whimsical World paper stack stickers from my stash Thanks so much for stopping by! Frogs

We went to the beach and the kids found this small frog. At first they were too scared to touch it but soon they were holding it and hunting for more.  I thought this layout sketch from Let's Get Sketchy would be great for these two pictures. The Sketch: My Take: To create this layout: Noah's ABC's Cricut Cartridge - Title and frog Recollections - washi tape DCWV: The Dots, Stripes, and Plaids paper stack Mambi Chips - chipboard stars, glitter frame, and This Happened sticker

Let's Scrap Sketch

Another great layout sketch over at Let's Scrap ! Check it out! The Sketch: My Take: The best part of the zoo, I think, is where the kids got to feed the birds. The zoo keepers gave them sticks with bird food and they held them out until a bird would land on their stick and eat the food. What a fun experience! This layout was created using DCWV: The Green Stack and Noah's ABC's Cricut Cartridge for the title and the bird diecuts. Blessings!
