Abusive Relationship Awareness Blog Hop

Welcome to the Abusive Relationship Awareness Blog Hop. While this may not be your typical blog hop theme, we decided to put together this hop in order to shed light on a topic that often goes unspoken about, when the truth is many of us have either been in an abusive relationship or know of someone who has. We're here not to celebrate abusive relationships, but to bring hope to those who have been firsthand or secondhand victims and to provide awareness to help put an end to this growing problem.

All of our projects showcased in this hop have something to do with hope, love, and encouragement. The color for domestic violence is purple, and as you'll see purple was used on many of our projects.

For my project, I created....

A "Let's Connect" journal. A place where my husband and I can leave each other messages, telling each other how we feel about whatever is going on. It's a safe place to share. We started this journal when we first got married. I decided to embellish the journal for this hop. The paper comes from the My Mind's Eye Love Nest paper stack. I used the New Testament Cricut Cartridge for the fish with the word love in it. I decided to use this as a reminder to both my husband and I how important it is to keep the Lord in our relationship. When things get tough we need to remember Who is in control and Who we need to turn to for help when we are stressed out! The tag is stamped with an Inkadinkado stamp and this reminds us that we need to date, to spend time together if we are to remain close and intimate in our marriage.
I decided to do this hop, not because I have been or am in an abusive relationship, but because I believe that is is so important to take of the marriage relationship and that it is extremely important for both people to take care of each other. Abuse in any form within a marriage is not ok!

  19. i love your idea. This is very helpful when sometimes in a relationship two people cannot really say what they feel directly but with this they can communicate then talk about it. And they can keep track their life with this journal.
