I Love You!
I recently discovered a great new challenge blog, ok not new but new to me. The blog is called Cooking With Cricut. So, I decided to join in on their challenge this week. The challenge was to create a grown up valentine using the color black and brads.
I dry embossed a black peice of cardstock and punched the corners using a Martha Stewart Corner Punch. I cut the heart and the sentiment base from the Tie The Knot Cricut Cartrige. I stamped the sentiment base with versamark ink and then used silver embossing powder over the top. For my brads I attached two heart shaped brads on either side of the sentiment after threading some black fiber through the holes.

The layout below was made for a challenge on the Let's Scrap forum. This is a great resource for sketches, if you like to scrap using sketches. They have cards and layout sketches to work from, plus great challenges every week. Below is the sketch and then my take on it.
For this sketch I used the 3 Birds on Parade Cricut Cartridge for the birds and the sentiment and Tags, Bags, and Boxes for the tags. The paper is from the My Mind's Eye Love Nest paper stack.
your use of black in the card is really outstanding! Thanks for playing with us at CWC this week!
