This past weekend a good friend of mine had a housewarming party. They recently bought a new house and renovated it themselves. They did a fantastic job.
I wanted to make them something for their new home and decided to check out my favorite source for ideas, Pinterest!

I found this great wood block craft that I thought would be perfect.

I used the Storybook Cricut Cartridge for the word "Family" and I used the Once Upon a Princess Cricut Cartridge for "Kept By God". I pulled out some pattern paper with the greens and yellows in it, as this is my friends favorite colors. For my ribbon I used some green Crinkle Ribbon. I have to say I love crinkle ribbon. War Binder

We are now into August and I have been thinking a lot about the fact that school is coming. I have been homeschooling my daughter for the past year and a half. She is now going to go to a Christian school in the fall for junior high. I can't believe that she is in 7th grade already! I am both sad for me and excited for her. One of my favorite things about homeschooling, besides having my daughter home with me everyday, was using my Happy Planner for lesson planning. I love my lists and seeing my week planned out on paper. So, I was thinking through how to make a good use of my Happy Planner this coming year. I a blog post on how to set up a  War Binder . Let's Scrap - Friends Forever

Since moving away from my home town I don't get to see my old high school/college friends very often. There was a core group of us that hung out beginning in high school and we are all friends still. The one friend that was responsible for all of us meeting and ultimately becoming friends was getting married. It was so fun to all be back together for an evening. What was also fun was seeing all of our children together. Definitely one of those sentimental moments that needs to be scrapbooked and kept for all time! Let's Scrap has a fantastic sketch up on the blog that was perfect for these pictures. This sketch included a fun element: booklet.
