Three Layouts and a Card
Had some time to scrap this week and decided I should share. I have to say that this is the first time this year that I have gotten around to actually scrapbooking for my family album. I guess I have been on a bit of a card and home decor kick. Not to say that I am finished with that, but I am determined to get caught up on my family album. So, here are a few additions as of this week.
For this layout I had a chance to use a new toy. My new Sew Easy tool from We R Memory Keepers. For the swirl accents I used the Picturesque Cricut Cartridge and punched out and embossed a couple of diecuts to make the heart have butterfly wings.
Look below for a fun video that explains what the Sew Easy tool does.
Gotta have one now right?!!!
This layout is one of my favorites, and this is because of one fact - it shows my family standing in front of our new (at the time) Dodge Ram truck. Now I don't know if you can read the journaling on the layout or not, but I wrote about how all through college I would talk about how I would someday own a Dodge Ram pickup and it would be towing a couple of sea doos behind it. Well at this point we are half way there and now at present time we are 75% there. As we just aquired a three person sea doo. One more and my dreams are come to life!! LOL. The title, by the way, is welded letters from the Boys Will Be Boys Cricut Cartridge.
This was our first time out camping, if you can call it that. We had just bought our camper trailer, to pull behind our gorgeous Dodge Ram truck and were on our way to Seattle. We tend to do that now from time to time as my husband works for a company over there. It's just an excuse to camp and way more fun than a hotel! Here we are staying in a RV resort, hence the comment about whether you can call it camping or not :0.
I kept this layout simple. Sometime I get the hankering to just wad up a piece of paper when I'm frustrated and did just that. However, after thinking about it for a minute I decided that it looked pretty cool and used it all crumpled as my base for the pictures. Gotta love it! The Rise and Shine title came from the Campin Critters Cricut Cartridge and I embellished it with a few buttons and some primas.
I decided to make a card using some flower diecuts and a Smile stamp. I stamped the center of the orange flower to say Smile and then added some embossing powder and some heat. Turned out better than I thought it would :) I decided to make my own card using a card feature on the Wild Cards Cartridge and I think it turned out kind of fun. See the inside of the card below, where I added a heat embossed scripture stamp.
Well, thanks for looking and I hope you have been inspired!
May the Lord bless you all!
