Always and Forever

I've been busy completing layouts for the My Scraps and More monthly/daily challenges and sometimes I get a little stuck on how I want me layouts to look. Often times when that happens I like to look for a sketches to help me with my inspiration. I decided to take a look at what the Let's Get Sketchy site had going on this week and they did not dissappoint. 

Here is their sketch:


And here is my take:


I entered this layout in the Let's Get Sketchy challenge as well as the My Scraps and More challenge.
For the MS&M challenge we were to use this receipe (colors up to us):

1 cup - gray/silver
1/2 cup - blue
1/8 cup - red
a pinch - yellow

The paper comes from DCWV: The District Stack, the the banner is from the Lovely Floral Cricut Cartridge, the arrow comes from the Graphically Speaking cart, the circles are from the George and Basic Shapes cart, and the title and journaling stickers are 7 Gypsies.

War Binder

We are now into August and I have been thinking a lot about the fact that school is coming. I have been homeschooling my daughter for the past year and a half. She is now going to go to a Christian school in the fall for junior high. I can't believe that she is in 7th grade already! I am both sad for me and excited for her. One of my favorite things about homeschooling, besides having my daughter home with me everyday, was using my Happy Planner for lesson planning. I love my lists and seeing my week planned out on paper. So, I was thinking through how to make a good use of my Happy Planner this coming year. I a blog post on how to set up a  War Binder . I looked into this War binder thing a little more closely and decided that that is exactly what I wanted to do with my Planner. Let's Scrap - Friends Forever

Since moving away from my home town I don't get to see my old high school/college friends very often. There was a core group of us that hung out beginning in high school and we are all friends still. The one friend that was responsible for all of us meeting and ultimately becoming friends was getting married. It was so fun to all be back together for an evening. What was also fun was seeing all of our children together. Definitely one of those sentimental moments that needs to be scrapbooked and kept for all time! Let's Scrap has a fantastic sketch up on the blog that was perfect for these pictures. This sketch included a fun element: booklet. At first I had some trouble figuring out how to do this but then it became clear. I hope you enjoy the layout and the booklet as pictured for you below. I decided to use the left side of the layout.
