Valentine Cards

Image
Welcome to another Monday with two great challenges from two great Blogs! This first one comes from the  Fantabulous Cricut Blog. This week's challenge is to create a 3x3 valentine card. I decided to make mine using my brand new cartridge Sentimentals. I absolutely love this cartridge, especially all the stamp images. Which is exactly what I chose to make my card with. I used the heart shaped lock and added a metal key and some fiber to further embellish my card. The envelope came from the Tie The Knot Cricut Cartridge. Create your 3x3 Valentine card and head on over to the Fantabulous Cricut  blog to upload your creation! ************************************************************ This is a bittersweet moment, as this is my final project as a member of the Made Especially For You  design team. I have had a wonderful time designing for Ashley and will try to continue by joining in on the challenges. This week on Made Especially For You  the challenge is to wor...

Snowflakes and Ribbon

Image
This week at the Fantabulous Cricut Blog the theme is Snow Fun! We are asked to use a snowflake or a snowman on our project. I decided to go with a snowflake and make a fun snowy card.  For this card I used the Accent Essential Cricut Cartridge for my snowflake. I cut two of them out at 4 and 3 inches. I used a pop dot to pop up the smaller snowflake to give the card some dimension. I, also, popped up the sentiment as well. The sentiment was stamped and then I heat embossed it using silver embossing power and then for fun added some starry bling to the snowflakes on the pattern paper. Try a project with a snowman or snowflake and then upload it onto the Fantabulous Cricut Blog for your chance to win this weeks prize. ****************************************************************************** Made Especially for You is hosting a challenge this week that asks us to use three ribbons on our cards. This was actually a challenge for me! But, I had fun working through it ...

Christmas Card Holder

Image
I know it's a little late coming, but I finally got a picture of the card holder that I made with some cards in it. I found a tutorial for this on The Paper Trail blog and you can go there as well to make your own. I thought it was a fantastic idea and loved it even more when all December long I had a place to put the Christmas cards that we got in the mail. Since we get cards all year long for birthdays, thank yous, anniversaries, etc. I just may make a general card holder that I can have up all year long. Stay tuned and I will post when I get it completed! The Merry Christmas Card title words were cut using the Storybook Cartridge.

Three Layouts and a Card

Image
Had some time to scrap this week and decided I should share. I have to say that this is the first time this year that I have gotten around to actually scrapbooking for my family album. I guess I have been on a bit of a card and home decor kick. Not to say that I am finished with that, but I am determined to get caught up on my family album. So, here are a few additions as of this week.  For this layout I had a chance to use a new toy. My new Sew Easy tool from We R Memory Keepers. For the swirl accents I used the Picturesque Cricut Cartridge and punched out and embossed a couple of diecuts to make the heart have butterfly wings.  Look below for a fun video that explains what the Sew Easy tool does. Gotta have one now right?!!! This layout is one of my favorites, and this is because of one fact - it shows my family standing in front of our new (at the time) Dodge Ram truck. Now I don't know if you can read the journaling on the layout or not, but I wrote about how all ...

Monday Challenge

Today's challenge at Made Especially for You was to use some dry embossing. The card below is made with regular kitchen aluminum foil and embossed using my embossing machine. I, also, used a little bit of heat embossing for my stamped sentiment and flower. Make your embossed project and link it up at Made Especially For You!

National Hot Cocoa Day and Glitter New Years Card

Image
Hello and welcome to another Monday challenge at Fantabulous Cricut . It is national hot cocoa day and that is the theme of this weeks challenge. We are asked to create a project either with a cup, chocolate, or some brown colored paper. Check out my project below and then create your own and upload it to the Fantabulous Cricut blog for your chance to be a winner! For this challenge I decided to make a wall decor item for my kitchen. I used the Wall Decor and More cricut cartridge for the coffee cup. It is cut out in some metallic brown paper with glitter beige paper for the cup shadow/background. The Coffee Time word phrase came from the From My Kitchen cricut cartridge, also cut in the same paper as the cup.  Thank you Fantabulous for giving me yet another excuse to make something for my walls!!!  *********************************************** Monday Challenge With Made Especially 4 You This week the challenge is to use glitter. Well that's not a huge challenge fo...
