Now I have prefrace this post with the fact that I am not a big fan of Halloween, therefore, this challenge was indeed a challenge. This wee at Cut It Up Halloween is right around the corner. We are asked to create a Halloween/spooky themed project. Include a die-cut. Challenge ends Oct. 31 at noon EST. I decided to make a more cutsie spooky card. Check it out: I used two cartridges for this card. The bird ghost and the spooky word come from the 3 Birds on Parade Cricut Catridge and the bird house comes from the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut Catridge. It's time for another Fantabulous Cricut blog Challenge. This week we are asked to visit the farm and create  a project using a Farm Animal (Cow, Pig, Horse, Sheep, etc). Ok, gotta love this especially since it got me using a cartridge that I have had for awhile and not used much! So, check out my card set below! To make these cards I pretty much solely used the Country Life Cricut Cartridge, however, I did use the Paper Lace Cart for the base on a couple of these cards. I embossed the backgrounds to give the cards a little texture and added some distressing ink around the edges to embellish them a bit.  I have included a few more pics of the entire set below, as well as the file folder I made (using a tutorial from Inking Idaho ) to hold the card set. This week at  Fantabulous Cricut  we are celebrating Columbus Day. We are asked to make a project using a ship cricut cut. This turned out to be a very fun challenge for me. Check out my project below. I decided to make a card. I used the ship from Wall Decor and More and attached it to two welded cards from the Just Because Cards Cricut Cartridge. I welded two cards bases together with my gypsy to create a card that would open in the middle. See the opened card below. This is the card when it is opened up. Welcome to another Cut It Up challenge. This week we are honoring Breast Cancer Awareness by making a project in honor of it. Just remember to include a die cut and the challenge ends Oct. 17th at Noon! Here's my project. This card was made using the Home Decor Cricut Cartridge for the base of the sentiment. I used a Bible verse stamp that says:  "My peace I give unto you let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:1 I thought the verse went pretty well with the theme of Breast Cancer this week. I embossed it with white embossing powder to help it stand out and added a pink ribbon from my stash to embellish the card and to create the pink ribbon. Now, it's your turn to create a project and upload it to  Cut It Up ! Don't forget to add a diecut to your project!

Welcome to this weeks Fantabulous Cricu t blog challenge. This week we are honoring Breast Cancer Awareness week. The challenge is called "Get 'em Squished" and we are asked to use the color pink in our projects.  I decided to make a pink and white card. Every woman is beautiful so I choose to use a stamp that said Beautiful and then I embossed it with white embossing powder. I used the Stamping, Home Decor, and George and Basic Shapes Cricut Cartridges to make this card. I created the Breast Cancer Awareness ribbon out of some pink ribbon that I had and added a peice of bling to embellish it. Now it's your turn to upload your project to Fantabulous Cricut !

Hello and welcome to another challenge by  Fantabulous Cricut ! This week the challenge is to create a birthday project using a candle. This came and the perfect time for me as it was recently my sister's birthday! I decided to make a gift card holder/card as I had bought her a coffee card. This gift card holder was cut from the Wrap it Up Cricut Cartridge using the tag feature. I added glitter to the candles to make them look more on fire and covered the holes on the sides of the holder (cause I forgot to hide contour them) with glitter primas. I stamped Happy Birthday in the center to finish it off. Below, you can see the holder with a card in it. Nope, not a coffee card in there - didn't quite have it in hand yet, so I'm showing you an example using our REI Membership card :) Now, it's your turn to head on over to  Fantabulous Cricut  and upload your creation!

I don't know about you but I am so glad that fall is almost here! I love this time of year where I can wear jeans again and can be outside without melting! I've been walking on the trial that goes by the river near our house and it started to look like fall as the pine needles have started to litter the path - I just love it!!! So, this was an easy challenge for me this week at  Cut It Up Challenges   where we are asked to create a project that is inspired by the below picture. So, in thinking about trees and apples and how it is time to go pick them, I just had to do an apple tree for my card.
