Thanksgiving

Image
I'm almost there on 2017! I'm in November now, and I'm seeing the light at the end of the 2017 family scrapbook album. I'm trying to be a little more selective about what I'm scrapping only because my album is getting quite thick! I have so many albums that I recently (within the last couple of years) have decided to try and pair down to one album per a year - so much more difficult than it sounds! Shouldn't be though, not with the 3 ring binders I use from Hobby Lobby ! For my photos of Thanksgiving with my husband's side of the family I decided to use a sketch from Sketch n Scrap . I had 2 good photos from that night so I used one photo as is and then I cut the second photo in half to be the the smaller two for this sketch. The Sketch: My Take: To Create this Layout I used: DCWV: The Linen Closet papers stack Carta Bella: Our Family - ephemera Prima flowers from my stash tag from my stash twine Thank you so ...

Woodland Park Zoo

I have taken a bit of a break on scrapbooking this summer, it's definitely been hit or miss on my crafting time! All for good reason, we have been really busy with all sorts of summer activities. I did decided to sit down and start a layout at the beginning of this week. It ended up taking me 4 days to get this one done. And really that's just because I would sit for a few minutes in my craftroom working on it and then getting distracted with other activities.  For this layout I decided to use a sketch from the Stick It Down challenge blog. I scrapped our trip to the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle.  The Sketch: My Take: To Create this layout: The Paper Studio: Ninth Street paper stack Cricut Basic Shapes - circle shapes Bo Bunny: Zip-A-Dee-Doodle - "Oct" sticker 7 Gypsies: Vacation & Travel Voyage - quote stickers Chipboard letters from my stash - title Thank you so much for stopping by! Blessings,

Let's Scrap - Scrap Retreat

Image
In 2017 our annual scrapbooking retreat was very memorable. It snowed. . . a lot! We ended up loosing power for about 5 hours in the morning. It was actually a fun experience. I work so much with my Cricut that it was an awesome challenge to create layouts and to not use the Cricut for them. Despite the awesome challenge of creating without diecuts, I was very excited when the power came back on!  I used the left side of the below sketch from Let's Scrap  to create my layout. My Layout: To Create My Layout I used: Pink Paislee: Switchboard paper stack Mambi Chips: chipboard stickers Small Talk Frames & Tags Cricut Cartridge: frames The Girls Paperie by Margie: Paper Girl - letter stickers "Retreat" Washi and brackets: from stash Thank you so much for stopping by!!! Let's Scrap - The first Day

I am making a lot of progress on our family album. I'm finally into Sept 2017 with this layout here. I plan to scrap a lot this summer! My goal is to get to the point where I am scrapbooking current events. Hmmm, it is a lofty goal, but a girl has to have a goal!  Let's Scrap has another great sketch out for you! I had one extra photo that I just couldn't leave out, see the center photo on the left side, so I had to alter the sketch just a bit.  The Sketch: My Layout: To Create this Layout: DCWV: Just My Type paper stack Project Life: photo overlay Imaginisce: School - stickers Jolee's Boutique: School Words: 3D stickers Bits & Pieces Cricut Cartridge: banners Miss Kate's Cuttables : "1st Day of School" title A Closer look: Thank you so much for stopping by!!!
