3D Holiday Project

Image
I am so excited about this weeks challenge. We are to make a 3D project for the holidays, any holiday :) Well, Thanksgiving is coming up and we all have thankfulness in mind so I wanted to create a project in line with this holiday. I decided to make a Gratitude box. I cut this box from the Sweet Tooth Boxes Cricut Cartridge. The slit on the top was welded using my gyspy and the George and Basic Shapes Cricut Cartridge. Now, on Thanksgiving my family will all write on slips of paper what we are thankful for and slip it in the box. And next year we can go through the old and see what God has done for us! Thanks for looking at my project this week, now it's your turn!

Be Ye Thankful

It's time for another challenge coming from the Fantabulous Cricut Blog  and this week we are looking forward to Thanksgiving and all it stands for.  The challenge this week is to make a Thank You card, sweet and simple.  Check out mine below. I used my Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge for the Thank you and the Gyspy Wanderings off my gyspy for the base that the sentiment is sitting on.  I added some corners and crinkle ribbon to embellish my card. Now, it's your turn. Head on over to the  Fantabulous Cricut Blog  and upload  your Thank you card!

Pins To Creation - Freezer Meals & Menu

Image
Welcome back for another Pintrest inspired creation for the Pins to Creation blog !  This week I am featuring a fabulous freezer meals idea that comes from blog  The Test Kitchen of Melissa  . This lady is amazing, I will say this right up front. I highly recommend giving her freezer meals a try, because they truly are good! I tried all of her  Freezer Cooking #2 and I, nor any member of my family, had one complaint. In fact, I will do it all again.  You will, also, find this picture pinned to my Pinterest boards  Stuff I've Done/Tried .  Feel free to visit me on Pinterest and be a follower! Here is a quick list of the meals with my notes in red: Here is the menu for Freezer Cooking Round 2: ·           Chicken Pot Pie (3)  *this is 4-6 servings PER PIE   (I got 4 pies out of this, so good) ·           ShreddedPork...

Button Day!!!

Image
Here at Cut It Up  it is button week. Yup, pretty simple and fun challenge, all you need is at least two buttons and a diecut!!! Check out my layout below! I started working on my Hawaii scrapbook awhile ago and this one seemed to fit the bill for this weeks challenge. I used Life is a Beach Cricut Cartridge for the title on this page as well as one of my go to cartridges George and Basic Shapes. To embellish the page I added some large flowers and felt leaves as well as a little bit of faux stiching . To add a bit to my flowers I used buttons as the flower centers. Well, I hope you enjoyed my project this week, now it's your turn to upload  yours!

Glass Blocks Pinned and Created

Image
I am so excited, as this is my first post for the blog! I love Pintrest and all the grand ideas it gives for me for. . . well everything!  One of my favorite pins has been the glass blocks. I have made a few in the past with images on them. I founds some that had just a letter and I thought that they looked so elegant. I had a wedding coming up and decided that I should make them something. I looked at several ideas, chose one, then changed my mind, chose another, and then changed my mind again. Finally, I made a decision. Below is the glass block that gave me my inspiration. You can see the orginial creation by visiting  Finding Time to Create . Which if you like her project then I encourage you to visit and let her know! You will, also, find this pictured pinned to my Pinterest boards  Stuff I've Done/Tried .  Feel free to visit me on Pinterest and be a follower! Now, for my creations inspired by the above! Falling Leaves

Image
Welcome to another Monday challenge at Fantabulous Cricut . This week we are honoring the leaves that fallen to provide the way for winter to come and then spring and then. . . ok  you get the idea and I guess I'm feeling a little dramatic this morning. LOL. This is my favorite time of year, mostly because I love the colors of fall. I love the feeling in the air and the cooler weather and I love the fall paper lines!!! Ok I'll get my project :) I decided to create a layout for my family scrapbook. One of the things we love to do in the fall is to visit the farms. So, I made this layout using the following Cricut Cartridges: Tree - Stretch Your Imagination Leaves - Straight From the Nest Phrase - Country Life Well, now it's your turn. Create away and then upload your creation to  Fantabulous Cricut .

Thank You Card

Image
This week at Cut It Up  we are getting into the swing of Thanksgiving, as it is soon approaching. This is the time of year that we make an effort to voice our thankfulness and that is exactly what we want to do for this challenge. We are asked to make a Thank You card that includes a digital or stamped image and a die-cut. Don't forget that die-cut :) Here's mine. For this card I used the Stretch Your Imagination Cricut Cartridge to cut out the bird house. I embossed it to give it a little texture and then cut out a tag using the Tags, Bags, and Boxes Cricut Cartridge. On the tag I used a definition stamp that had the definition of thanks and then I heat embossed it using some copper colored embossing powder and versa mark ink. I hope you enjoyed my card and now it is your turn to go to  Cut It Up  and link up your creation!
