Fantabulous Save The Earth Cricut Crawl

Image
Welcome to the Fantabulous Cricut blog Save The Earth Cricut Crawl! You should have just come over from Holly at http://ribbonsandglue.blogspot.com/ This week we are crawling around to all the design team blogsites to see how we can save the earth by recycling and item and using it on our projects. Well, I did just that with my layout below. The 8x8 peice of pattern paper comes from the DCWV All Dressed Up paper stack. The photo matt/frame was part of the plastic covering that came with one of my cricut cartridges. To hear more about this idea, check in tomorrow at Fantabulous Cricut  for the Quick Tip Tuesday post. This metal embellishment used to be a pair of earings. I haven't worn them in so long I figured instead of selling them or throwing them away I would use them for my project. Who knew?? For the my heart, that was cut from the Tie The Knot Cricut Cartridge, was cut on scrap paper. Ok well, that's not exactly recycling, but it is using all the scraps and th...

Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend

Image
It's time to get your bling on over at the Cooking With Cricut  blog. This weeks challenge is to create a project that features bling, bling, and more bling. To me, when I think diamonds and bling I think princesses and birthday parties. Well, that could be because it was my daughter's birthday this month and she is all about the princesses and the bling. So, this card is inspired by beautiful daughter who turned 5 this month (Happy Belated Birthday Grace!) I added some bling on the princesses dress and in her hair. Then I used glitter to outline the princesses dress and embellish the corners of the pattern paper base that the princess is mounted on. The princess is cut from the Once Upon A Princess Cricut Cartridge. The paper comes from the My Mind's Eye Party Time paper stack. What a fun card this was to make! Thank you for joining me for another great challenge and now it's your turn to upload your bling covered project over at Cooking With Cricut !

My Project for FCCB this week, but a little late!

Image
Ok, so things got a little confused around here :) oops oops and oops. But, I decided to go ahead and post it up anyway. So, the challenge this week at Fantabulous Cricut was to create a project around the theme "On the Go". Using the Superman Cricut Cartridge I made a door sign for my son, who is really into trains! I thought this was perfect! I just used the Hide Contours feature on my gyspy to take the S out of the image and insert an E for Elijah instead. Then I spelled out the rest of his name to go with it. Hope you enjoyed my project, though very late, and now go upload your own to Fantabulous Cricut !

I have loved using vinyl around the house, so this hop was absolutely the perfect excuse to do some more! I used three cartridges to create this vinyl wall phrase in my laundry room: Lovely Floral - accents Storybook - Laundry Once Upon a Princess - Or Naked Tommorrow Here are some more pictures of the wall decor. I had some left over black vinyl and an empty frame so I cut the word family using the Lovely Floral Cricut Cartridge and applied it to the outside of the glass for a simple wall dec...

April Showers

Image
This weeks challenge over at the Fantabulous Cricut blog is all about April showers. We are to use an umbrella, rain, or clouds on our projects. By this time I'm really hoping the showers are done, I've had enough of the rain! So maybe this project will usher the rain out and the sun in! Here's hoping :) For this card I used the umbrella from the Tie The Knot Cricut Cartridge. The title base is also from that cartridge. This cartridge really has been usful and has so many wonderful cuts on it. I have been able to use it on so much more than anything having to do with weddings. Just a tempting thought for you! The sentiment is stamped and heat embossed, then I added ribbon for an extra touch. The pattern paper comes from the My Mind's Eye Love Nest paper stack. Thank you for joining me on my blog this week. Now, you go and upload your April Showers inspired project at Fantabulous Cricut!

Cricut Cartridge Showcase

Image
Hello, my name is Jamie and I am here to showcase one of my newest and current favorite Cricut Cartridge. This cartridge is the New Testament Cartridge. This cart has so much to offer. From home decor possibilities, church projects, gifts to layouts and cards. This cartridge has many features including: Biblical Characters and illustrations, Scripture, Books, Books Shadow, Fish and Crosses. I have some examples of things that I have made using this cartridge below. If you want more ideas on how to use the cartridge you can click Here . I used vinyl and cut the cross out from the New Testament card and adhered it to a glass block that I bought from Hobby Lobby. I used some ribbon and fiber to embellish it and stuck a light in through the bottom. It looks awesome when lit up, unfortunately the picture didnt. Last year we went the 'Journey to the Cross' live Easter production at a local church. They reenacted the Jesus's crucifiction and resurrection outside on their...

Buttons and Bows So Cute!

Image
It's Monday and that means it's time for a challenge for the Fantabulous Cricut blog! I needed at least one more layout with these great sephia pictures that I have of my two precious kids, so I thought this would be the perfect challenge for a layout. For this layout I used the Graphically Speaking Cricut Cartridge for the frame surround the two adorable children :). I used the Give A Hoot Cricut Cartridge for the blue border beneath the two adorable children and I used the Once Upon a Princess Cricut Cartridge for the "Sweet" sentiment that describes the two adorable children. Hmmm, maybe I should have used the sentiment "adorable" instead. Oh well :). For my bow I added a peice of ribbon to the end of the blue border and tied a bow at the top of it and I added some buttons around the frame to help it stand out a bit more as well as tie in the red from the sephia pictures. This awesome paper comes from the DCWV Playtime Stack, which I have had so much ...

The remainding cuts came from the Sports Mania cart ...

She is 5 so it should be loads of fun. My husband bought me a clipboard to use and I decided that it was a little to plain. So, I decorated it. The "heart" my team logo comes from the Sports Mania Cricut Cartrdige and then I added some heat embossed stamped sentiments and glitter to further e...

Happy Easter Everyone!

Image
Over at Cooking With Cricut  there is an Easter challenge going on! Easter to me is all about my Lord and Savior, so when we were asked to do a project that was Easter themed, I knew just what I wanted to do! Last year we went to a church that put on a live reenactment of Jesus's time on earth, His crucifiction and His resurrection. My layout below is all about His resurrection. Jesus did not stay dead, He died for our sins and then rose again on the 3rd day so that we may go live with Him in Heaven one day for all eternity. What an amazing sacrifice He made for me and you! Not mention that we don't have to do anything at all to earn this gift as it is free, all we have to do is ask for it! Thank You Jesus! This layout was made using two cartridges. The New Testament Cricut Cartridge was used to cut out the tomb and the Inspired Heart Cricut Lite Catridge was used to cut out the He Is Risen sentiment. I used the negative cuts from the green grass of the tomb to add...
