Anything Goes

Hello, and welcome to the first ever challenge from Cut It Up
I'm so excited for our first challenge and I hope that you will join us!!! This weeks challenge couldn't be any easier, we are challenged to create what ever we want as long as there is a die cut on there somewhere! This was a fun one for me. It's my mother n law's birthday this last week so I decided to create a birthday present for her. My project comes from a tutorial that I purchased from Inking Idaho.

My mother-n-law likes teacups and such so I decided to create a desk organizer for her in the theme of teacups. I even made a matching card. The teacup and kettle on the sides of the organizer (as shown below) are cut from the Wall Decor and More Cricut Cartridge. The card and the drawer knobs come from the Birthday Cakes Cricut Cartridge and the tea bag comes from the Love You a Latte Cricut Cartridge. The letters that spell TEA come from the Storybook Cricut Cartridge.

Cartridges used:
Wall Decor and More
Birthday Cakes
Love You a Latte
Storybook

I used my gypsy to create the teacup card by welding two cups together at the top. Then I cut the cup out again in some teacup pattern paper. I glued the pattern paper to the top of the card but left some unglued area to be able to stick the tea bag in and pull it out. I added a stamped sentiment that says "Just  for You". When you pull the tea bag out (as shown below) it says Happy B-day.

I had so much fun creating this project that I decided to make a second one for my husband's desk at work. Check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I hope you enjoyed my project. Now it's your turn! Please join us for our first challenge and upload your project to the Cut It Up blog!!
