Fearless

Last summer my husband and I went out shooting with some friends. This was my first time ever shooting a gun, a real gun that is. My husbands friend is a police officer, which made me feel much safer I think than I would have on our own. He knew what he was doing and knew how to be safe with guns. It was a very cool experience. I can't say that I am ready to take the gun world by storm, but at least I know what it feels like to shoot one.

    OMGosh Jamie, I am so loving this layout! Good for your for shooting for the first time. It is a bit scary isn't it?! Before my husband passed last Oct, we went out in the summer and bought handguns and got our permits to carry. We got to shoot one time before he got to bad, but it is a memory that will forever stay with me. I have shot before but not a lot. Our family is a big gun family, I shot sometimes and sometimes not. Now I'm shaker and can't hit the target as easy, but I think I could scare someone if they were trying to come into my house! lol Hugs, Brenda

We are now into August and I have been thinking a lot about the fact that school is coming. I have been homeschooling my daughter for the past year and a half. She is now going to go to a Christian school in the fall for junior high. I can't believe that she is in 7th grade already! I am both sad for me and excited for her. One of my favorite things about homeschooling, besides having my daughter home with me everyday, was using my Happy Planner for lesson planning. I love my lists and seeing my week planned out on paper. So, I was thinking through how to make a good use of my Happy Planner this coming year. I a blog post on how to set up a  War Binder . I looked into this War binder thing a little more closely and decided that that is exactly what I wanted to do with my Planner. Let's Scrap - Friends Forever

Since moving away from my home town I don't get to see my old high school/college friends very often. There was a core group of us that hung out beginning in high school and we are all friends still. The one friend that was responsible for all of us meeting and ultimately becoming friends was getting married. It was so fun to all be back together for an evening. What was also fun was seeing all of our children together. Definitely one of those sentimental moments that needs to be scrapbooked and kept for all time! Let's Scrap has a fantastic sketch up on the blog that was perfect for these pictures. This sketch included a fun element: booklet.
