Amazing Garden!

I'm finally getting around to scrapping my husbands and I Hawaii trip, from 3 years ago. Slow process, mostly because I tend to get the family stuff done before romantic vacations. I love sketches and the blog Stuck?! had a great one to start off the new year. Not to mention Let's Scrap is having their load challenge this month in their Facebook group.

Here is the sketch I worked off of:


And here is my take on it:


I used my new Cricut Explore to create this layout. I basically used images that I found in the Cricut Design Space library (to which I have a temporary subscription) to create the entire layout. Just for fun, here is the screenshot of my layout.

    Gorgeous page, love the colour combo! I create my layouts on the Silhouette just like you do on the Cricut! I love the visual i get and I like to know how it will all come together! Thanks for playing at Stuck?!

    Oh my Jamie, what a beautiful layout! I love the bright, summer colors on this one and your take on the sketch is spot on. How nice that you and hubby got away for a nice Hawaii vacation, even if it was 3 years ago. lol Hugs, Brenda

War Binder

We are now into August and I have been thinking a lot about the fact that school is coming. I have been homeschooling my daughter for the past year and a half. She is now going to go to a Christian school in the fall for junior high. I can't believe that she is in 7th grade already! I am both sad for me and excited for her. One of my favorite things about homeschooling, besides having my daughter home with me everyday, was using my Happy Planner for lesson planning. I love my lists and seeing my week planned out on paper. So, I was thinking through how to make a good use of my Happy Planner this coming year. I a blog post on how to set up a  War Binder . I looked into this War binder thing a little more closely and decided that that is exactly what I wanted to do with my Planner. Let's Scrap - Friends Forever

Since moving away from my home town I don't get to see my old high school/college friends very often. There was a core group of us that hung out beginning in high school and we are all friends still. The one friend that was responsible for all of us meeting and ultimately becoming friends was getting married. It was so fun to all be back together for an evening. What was also fun was seeing all of our children together. Definitely one of those sentimental moments that needs to be scrapbooked and kept for all time! Let's Scrap has a fantastic sketch up on the blog that was perfect for these pictures. This sketch included a fun element: booklet.
