Happy Thanksgiving and a Fun New Toy

I am so thankful for an amazing husband and my two amazing children! The Lord has blessed me beyond deserving! Thank you Lord for everything I have been given in this amazing life!

Joann's opened their doors at 6am Wednesday morning this week.  Yup they started their Black Friday sales on Wednesday this year - Yeah! So, I went of course and stood in line for only a half hour with some other very friendly crafters. Not much of a line, I'm guessing most people didn't catch the early sale in the ads. I walked in the store and asked for guidance to the nearest Cricut Explore and she directed me to the front counter, where their one and only Cricut Explore for the Black Friday sale was kept. Yes,  yes, yes, yes!!! It was mine! So, of course I brought it home and unfortunately had to set it aside as I had much prep work to do for Thanksgiving the next day. I can't even begin to tell you how difficult it was to leave it alone in it's box for so many hours until I could justify time spent with it. But, finally the baking was done the house was clean and it was time to play!!!

So, play I did until 1:30am Thanksgiving morning! Tired the next day, sure but there's a remedy for that - it's called Coffee!
It was a ton of fun taking it out of it's box, downloading the Cricut Design Space, registering my new toy and then watching a ton of tutorials on how to run the software.

For my first project, I cut out the great Thank You Card that they provided for free! I love it!

Then, I decided to venture out on my own. Pretty simple but I am learning. And this owl is so cute!

Then, of course I couldn't not decorate my new toy so I played around with some vinyl. I decided to try my hand at uploading my signature after watching a tutorial on how to do it.

The Tutorial:

Here's how it turned out:

Not too shabby and tons of fun. Well, this was a simple start to a very long relationship! I am definitely in love with my new Cricut Explore and I'm so glad I got it!

Blessings,
