BBQing

Image
What says more about summer than BBQing? It's one of my favorite things and we do it a lot! Although I have to admit, I probably like it more because that means I don't have to cook :) LOL! So, this week's challenge on the Fantabulous Cricut  blog is to make a project using hotdog, hamburger etc (bbq foods). Since we tend to have a lot of BBQs at our house I decided to create an invitation! Check it out. The BBQer and the BBQ & steak cuts came from the Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge, the Sentiment "You're Invited" came from the Sentimentals Cricut cartridge, and the "BBQ" came from the Jasmine Cricut Cartridge.  I had to use a steak because I love my steak and it's my favorite thing to eat off the BBQ!!! The background paper comes from Me And My Big Ideas Boy stack. Mmmm I'm hungry! Now it's your turn. Upload your creation to Fantabulous Cricut !

1st Day of Summer - Hooray!

Image
Welcome to the first day of summer, doesn't that thought just warm you right up?! I'm so ready for summer, especially since our first camping trip of the season is coming up very soon! That brings me to this weeks challenge at Cookin With Cricut . We are to create a project that features a BBQ or Picnic theme, or an item you would find at one of those events. I decided to create a layout ahead of time for pictures that I know I will take of BBQs I know we will have! I created this layout using the Father's Day Cricut Solutions Cartridge. I used this cart to cut out the BBQ you see in the above picture. Everyday Paper Dolls was also used to make the BBQ guy and the little BBQer. (the other two embellishments came out of a swap, so I'm not sure what carts were used to make them). The paper comes from DCWV's The Guy stack. Now, it's your turn to upload your project to Cookin With Cricut .

Happy Father's Day!

Image
Happy Father's Day!! This week at Cookin With Cricut  the challenge is to create a gift for the dad in your life. The only stipulation is that we didn't make cards (not that you can't but well you can't - at least for this challenge). My husband recently got a new job, so for Father's Day I decided to make him something for his desk at work. I made a desk organizer and I plan to let the kids fill it up with some paper clips, candy, and note cards. The paper comes from the DCWV's The Guy Stack. By the way, this desk organizer came off a tutorial I found at Inking Idaho . To decorate the organizers I used the Handyman Cricut Cartridge. And, for the word Tools I used the A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge. Now it's your turn, create a gift for the dad in your life and then upload it to Cookin With Cricut .

Father's Day Is Almost Here

Image
And that is what this week's challenge at the Fantabulous Cricut blog is all about. This week we are to make a card using an outdoors theme; hunting, fishing, hiking etc. What is more outdoors than a fast car? And that is what my hubby is totally into. So, I decided to make a card with a new stamp that I had bought recently as well as some great cricut cuts! This simple card was a lot of fun to make. Both the base shape, behind the car stamp, and the sentiment DAD was cut using the Superman Cricut Cartridge. I wanted to make it flashy like a sports car so I used some glittery paper that came from the DCWV All Dressed Up paper stack. I think it went together nicely! Now it's your turn of course. Upload your fathers day card at Fantabulous Cricut  and maybe you can be a winner!

This cart is awesome and has so many features such as: card/tag feature, phrases, and fonts, not to mention the fabulous characters that are soo soo cute! Check out a few of the projects that I have made using this cricut cartridge! First up is a simple birthday banner I made for a friend! The paper comes from My Mind's Eye Party Time paper stack. Next, a simple but fun birthday card, also made from paper from the above stack! The below card comes from one of the card features on the cartridge. I loved how the birthday presents looked with the fun pattern paper behind it. The pattern paper comes from the DCWV All Dressed Up paper stack.  This card, also comes from a card feature. The fox and the sentiment are also from this cartridge. My daughter helped me make these cute valentines usin...
