Holiday Card

I found a great site that is if you love challenges, which I do. It's called The Daily Dare. It lists challenges that are happening every day. So, I decided to try out a challenge or two. I decided to make a holiday card and enter it into some challenges (which are listed below). I used the Winter Woodland cartridge for the snowman, some rubons for the sentiment and then of course I had to bling it up!

I made this card for the following challenges:

A Muse Studio Challenge Blog
Paper Issues
Craft Your Passion Challenges
Ooh La La Creations
Scrap-Creations
There She Goes
Cardz TV
Fab 'n' Funky Challenges

Fantabulous Monday Challenge

This weeks challenge at Fantabulous Cricut is make a Holiday Card. I have been wanting to use the ice skater from the Winter Woodland Cartridge for awhile so I thought this would be a good opportunity. I, also, used some trees from the Winter Frolic cartridge and the pond was from the Create a Critter cartridge. Combine the ice skater with some beautiful embellishments from Creative Charms and it was the perfect look that I was after!
This weeks sponsor is Creative Charms and they have some amazing embellishments in their shop. Below I used Their Seasonal Sparkles charms which inclued the all the bling on my card: winter, snow, snowflakes and the stars on the ice skater's dress. If you haven't heard of  Creative Charms or taken a look at their online store than you need to!

Made Especially For You Monday Challenge

This weeks challenge is as easy as 1, 2, 3... create a card or scrapbook layout using either 3 different papers, embellishments, colors, etc, you get the idea! Our sponsor is K 'n K Designs - Winner gets to chose their choice of 3 digital stamp sets. Below is the project I came up with for this challenge. I used the Winter Woodland cartridge for all the diecuts on this colorful page. If you would like to join us for the challenge just click Here to go to the Made Especially For You blog.

Awesome idea. I thought they were flat squares at first but when I saw that they were 3D blocks and contained photos I was blown away.

Fantabulous Cricut Harvest Blessings Crawl

Keep Scrolling Down for the Made Especially For You Blog Challenge: Explosion Boxes!

Welcome to my Blog and the Fantabulous Cricut Harvest Blessings Crawl...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a blog hop!
It's Fall and everyone at Fantabulous Cricut has decided to create projects to give thanks for our Harvest Blessings!   Each Design Team member will be featuring an original Fall project that includes Brown, Orange and Red – along with at least one Cricut cut.

If you've come from visiting Glenda at Glenda's Cards, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE .

Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at some of our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "Harvest Blessings" project at FCCB!

I have very limited harvest decor so this challenge was a welcome one. I had been thinking of making letter blocks for awhile now so I decided to make a set of blocks that spelled out blessings.
I used the Wrap It Up Cartridge for the blocks and Gypsy Font for the letters.
I think it looked great on our piano in the front sitting room.

To make the blocks a little more interesting I made a card feature on the front of them. I made the card stay closed by adding a brown ribbon and button that closed with velcro.

When you open up the card fronts you will see pictures of all my blessings. Below is one example: my precious Grace and Elijah. The rest of the blocks feature my husband, parents, siblings, parent's n law, and sister n law and family.

Want to win some blog candy? All you have to do to qualify for the random drawing is to become a follower and leave me a comment. See pic below for the candy:

2 sticker fonts packages and 1 pack of chipboard letters from Piggy Tales

Now it's your turn! Let's see your Harvest Blessings projects!  Make sure to include a Cricut cut somewhere on your project and be sure to use the colours Brown, Orange and Red as well!

Next stop… Jennie's blog, at Earthy Scrap.  Go and see what she has in store for you today.  And when you're done, make sure to link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest!
Happy Crawling!

Explosion Box Challenge

It's time for a Made Especially For You monday challenge!! This week's challenge is make an explosion box. Now this seems overwhelming at first, but I encourage you to try it. It really is a worthwhile and fun project to make. Take a look below at the explosion box I made for this challenge and keep scrolling for a look at an explosion box that I made for a Christmas gift exchange last year.

I decided to make this box to showcase our family pictures for each year during the fall season. I began with the first year of my daughter's life and so on. So, I currently have four years of fall seasons represented and plan to add to this box each year. When I am done there will be 20 years worth of family pictures.

The cross diecut is from the Inspired Heart cartridge, the praying girl and boy are from the Chore Chart Lite cartridge and the corn diecuts are from the Just Because Cards cartridge.

Here is the view from the otherside of the explosion box.

And now, for a look at last year's explosion box.

A Crafting Start Challenge

So, the challenge this week was to use stickles on your project. Not too hard considering I love glittering it up! Check out the card I made below and then head on over to the A Crafting Start blog and enter your own project using Stickles! (by the way in case you aren't familiar with stickles - glitter glue).
To make this card, I used a stamp for the word Imagine and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I took the stickles and colored in bits of the stamp. Pretty.

A Crafting Start Challenge

The first challenge for A Crafting Start is up and it's all about digi stamps. Now this is a completely new concept for me which is why I'm so excited to be on this team, I'm learning so many new things. If you are into learning new techniques or just starting out in the papercrafting world than you have to check out this blog. So, come on over and see all the design team creations and then create your own.  The digi stamp is called Give Thanks and I got it off  Free Digi Stamp blog site. It's just like using a stamp but you print it off the computer instead. This just opened up a whole new world for me!!!
