Holiday Card

Image
I found a great site that is if you love challenges, which I do. It's called The Daily Dare . It lists challenges that are happening every day. So, I decided to try out a challenge or two. I decided to make a holiday card and enter it into some challenges (which are listed below). I used the Winter Woodland cartridge for the snowman, some rubons for the sentiment and then of course I had to bling it up! I made this card for the following challenges: A Muse Studio Challenge Blog Paper Issues Craft Your Passion Challenges Ooh La La Creations Scrap-Creations There She Goes Cardz TV Fab 'n' Funky Challenges

Fantabulous Monday Challenge

This weeks challenge at Fantabulous Cricut  is make a Holiday Card. I have been wanting to use the ice skater from the Winter Woodland Cartridge for awhile so I thought this would be a good opportunity. I, also, used some trees from the Winter Frolic cartridge and the pond was from the Create a Critter cartridge. Combine the ice skater with some beautiful embellishments from Creative Charms and it was the perfect look that I was after! This weeks sponsor is Creative Charms and they have some amazing embellishments in their shop. Below I used Their Seasonal Sparkles charms which inclued the all the bling on my card: winter, snow, snowflakes and the stars on the ice skater's dress. If you haven't heard of  Creative Charms or taken a look at their online store than you need to!

Explosion Box Challenge

Image
It's time for a Made Especially For You monday challenge!! This week's challenge is make an explosion box. Now this seems overwhelming at first, but I encourage you to try it. It really is a worthwhile and fun project to make. Take a look below at the explosion box I made for this challenge and keep scrolling for a look at an explosion box that I made for a Christmas gift exchange last year. I decided to make this box to showcase our family pictures for each year during the fall season. I began with the first year of my daughter's life and so on. So, I currently have four years of fall seasons represented and plan to add to this box each year. When I am done there will be 20 years worth of family pictures. The cross diecut is from the Inspired Heart cartridge, the praying girl and boy are from the Chore Chart Lite cartridge and the corn diecuts are from the Just Because Cards cartridge. Here is the view from the otherside of the explosion box. And now, for a look at...

So, the challenge this week was to use stickles on your project. Not too hard considering I love glittering it up! Check out the card I made below and then head on over to the A Crafting Start blog and enter your own project using Stickles! (by the way in case you aren't familiar with stickles - glitter glue). To make this card, I used a stamp for the word Imagine and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I took the stickles and colored in bits of the stamp. Pretty.
