Let's Scrap Sketch Challenge 2-26-14

Image
It's my week again at Let's Scrap and as usual there's an amazing sketch! Check out the sketch: And, here's my take: October 31st this year the kids decided to revere trick or treat. They got their costumes on early and brought candy to daddy's work to hand out to his co-workers. That evening the kids had so much fun at our church's first Fall Flair. They dressed up and played lots of games and of course ate lots of treats. This layout was created using paper from Fancy Pants Designs: Rough & Tough by Lili. All the embellishments were from my stash! Yeah me, using my stash! Well, thank you for stopping by - now it's your turn to head on over to  Let's Scrap  and join in the fun! Blessings!

My Scraps and More Sketch #67

Image
I love the sketches over at the My Scraps and More Sketches blog and here is their first sketch for the month of February. Fun as always! The Sketch: My Take: This layout was created using DCWV's The Dots, Stripes, and Plaids paper Stack. The circle base was cut using the George and Basic Shapes Cricut Cartridge. The title, the green circular base, and the football image come from the Sports Mania Cricut Cartridge. For a little extra embellishment I twisted two colors of twine and added it around the orange circle base. Thanks for stopping by! Blessings,

The My Scraps and More forum is having a Valentine Crop called "Love is in the Air". This crop is going on until Feb. 23rd, if you are interested in playing along. I have gotten a couple of their challenges completed at this point and I will share them with you here.  Challenge #1 - My Wish This challenge is all about SEE THROUGH items. So all you need to do is  USE AT LEAST 2 DIFFERENT SEE THROUGH ITEMS ON YOUR PAGE.   You can use vellum, clear die-cuts, lace, transparencies, overlays (like those cute Crate Paper frames)...get creative! My sister treated me to a Rascal Flatts concert. It was amazing, especially since I had been a fan of theirs for so long and had yet to make it to a concert. I will say that I did meet them about 12 years ago when I checked them out of the hotel that I was working at. And yes I got their autographs - Woot Woot! For this challenge I used DCWV: The Dots, Stripes, and Plaids paper stack. There is a transparency over Gary LeVox (fro

There's another great sketch up at Let's Scrap  that you should check out. I had some great pics for this one and loved the use of tags, since I tend to forget about using tags a lot! Here's the sketch: Here's my take: The paper comes from DCWV My Sunshine Stack, the title was cut using the Playtime cartridge and the tags come from the Tags, Bags, and Boxes cartridge. I used some twine to tie off my tags - a very simple but fun layout! Thanks for stopping by! Blessing to you,
