My Daughters Photos

Image
Grace is going to be 4, in April, so pretty soon. I do believe that she will be following in my footsteps one day and become an avid scrapbooker. She has already shown promise in the crafty area. Definitely does a mom proud. She got a hold of my camera today and asked to be shown how to use it. I have to say she didn't do too bad. The following photos are hers.

Valentines Day

Image
Since it is Valentines day of course I had to make something to give my fabulous husband! My hubby loves to play video games and he is very good at it. Even dabbles in creating them. Another love is chocolate peanut butter candy. Without the peanut butter not a chocolat lover, but the combo does it for him. So, I decided to play with my new cricut cartridge "Wrap It Up". Nothing fancy but made the Xbox controller box, as shown below. I used the Fill Page function on the cricut and it ended up being the perfect size!

Trash to Treasure

So, on the Let's Scrap website they recently had (actually are still having at this time) a blog hop. Which was fabulous fun!!! One of the awesome challenges was to take something from around the house that you would normally throw away and use it on your layout. I have always wanted to use those bread tags on one of my pages somehow and have been collecting them for some time. Finally, I had reason and motivation to create with them. What I ended up doing with them really wasn't genious or anything, but I think they turned out pretty cute. I just took pattern paper and covered the tags. I then distressed the paper and stamped it using a flower stamp.

Sports Mania

This is a fun cartridge. At first I thought I wouldn't use it much because it was a little mature for my kids, which are 3 and 1, but as you see in the below layout it absolutely does work. By the way this layout was based off a Let's Scrap sketch.

Create a Critter

I absolutely love this cartridge. It is so stinkin cute. There are some great phrases in this cart as well as the adorable images. I just put this layout together last night and I although I think it could use a little tweeking I think it turned out quite nice. I created this layout off a sketch found on the Let's Scrap website, which is an awesome site for sketches, challenges, and scrapping ideas.

Handy Man Cartridge

I was sooo excited to finally get my hands on this cartridge. And I have actually used it quite a bit. The following pics are elements I made for a swap I hosted in my group on Cafemom. I love the tools on this and they are perfect for the scrapbook I am making for my hubby. He recently renovated the back part of our garage to be a home office for himself. He did almost all the work himself, so we thought it would be a good idea to showcase it in an album.   This is the beginning of the scrapbook. It's an 8x8 album.
