Lasting Memories Guest Designer Post 1

I'm so excited to announce that I get to be a Guest Designer at the Lasting Memories challenge blog for April. This first challenge is called Word Play. And I'll explain that more below.

I decided to use photos of my daughter and her best friend from when they went to the mall for a shopping spree at Justice! I can't believe she is growing up so fast. I just watched them looking around the store, trying things on, and making purchases like grown ups. Yes, I stuck around - and watched from afar. Not quite ready for the whole drop them off at the mall - at least not two years ago when this was taken.

The Challenge: Wordplay - Since today is Easter Sunday - use a scrappy item, theme, or technique for every letter in the word "EASTER". Your layout does not have to be Easter-related - it can be about anything. And since there are 2 "E"s you will need to include 2 different "E" items. Here's the link to Lauren's Scrappy Alphabet page if you need some ideas.

My Layout:

E- ephemera "besties"
A- American Crafts photo overlay
S- Simple Stories - paper bow clip
T- thickers - flowers
E- Echo Park - stickers "happiest girls are the prettist girls" and the camera
R- "Remember" title

To Create this layout I used the following:

My Mind's Eye: Lost and Found Market Street paper stack
American Crafts: "Be You" flower thickers
American Crafts: "Colorful" Word sticker
American Crafts: "Confetti" photo overlay
Echo Park: "Just Be You" element stickers - "happiest girls are the prettist girls" and the camera
Simple Stories: "Spring Farmhouse" paper bow clips
Simple Stories: "Kate & Ash" bits and pieces -"Besties"

Now it's  your turn. Head on over to Lasting Memories and upload your project for a chance to win!

Blessings,
