How to Design a Happy Planner using Design Space

Image
I have used Design Space in order to plan my layouts for a long time. It occurred to me that I could do the same thing with my Happy Planner Using basic shapes included in Design Space I recreated my Happy Planner in all 3 sizes on the canvas. From there I can apply and size images to create stickers. To use my templates click HERE Once I had placed and sized all the images I wanted. I flattened each image to create my sticker. I printed them out on sticker paper and then cut them with the cricut. Please note: for best results use the custom materials setting and search for sticker paper! Thank you so much for stopping by! Blessings,

Christmas Album Share

Image
So, I realize I've been doing a terrible job posting any of my projects - for that I apologize to. . . myself. :) I have been making handmade gifts for friends and family for the last couple of months and have not spent a lot of time scrapbooking. I suppose I should have taken pictures and posted about all those handmade crafts, but that for some reason did not occur to me so, oh well. Since the holidays are now past I have been trying to update my family Christmas album. I am a couple of years behind. So, I thought that I would share some of those layouts here. Enjoy! On The Other Side

Image
Well, I'm on the other side of the challenges now for the Fantabulous Cricut blog! I was looking to make something for my daughter's teachers and the FCCB challenge this week gave me the motivation I needed. The challenge was to use your cricut to make or at least embellish a 3d project. I decided to make a reusable calender. I used a tutorial that I found on the Scor-pal blog. The paper comes from DCWV's The Green Stack, The boxes were cut using the Wrap It Up Cricut Cartridge, the numbers came from A Child's Year cart, and the title comes from the Graphically Speaking cart. Till next time,

Birthday Celebration

Image
Hello and welcome to another challenge by  Fantabulous Cricut ! This week the challenge is to create a birthday project using a candle. This came and the perfect time for me as it was recently my sister's birthday! I decided to make a gift card holder/card as I had bought her a coffee card. This gift card holder was cut from the Wrap it Up Cricut Cartridge using the tag feature. I added glitter to the candles to make them look more on fire and covered the holes on the sides of the holder (cause I forgot to hide contour them) with glitter primas. I stamped Happy Birthday in the center to finish it off. Below, you can see the holder with a card in it. Nope, not a coffee card in there - didn't quite have it in hand yet, so I'm showing you an example using our REI Membership card :) Now, it's your turn to head on over to  Fantabulous Cricut  and upload your creation!

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Image
This weeks challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut  is to create a project using some sort of transportation (bus, train, car, bike, etc). It was recently my dad's birthday so I decided to make him a gift for his office space. I used a piece of pattern paper with some nice leaves on it for my background on the frame. Then cut out the old car and layers from the Wrap It Up Cricut Cartridge. I added a stamped scripture verse in the upper left corner to finish it off.  "My peace I give unto you, let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:27 I hope you enjoyed my project as it was fun to create! Now it's your turn to head on over to  Fantabulous Cricut  and upload your own creation!

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Image
Well, everyone I have some very exciting news - I am now a member of the Cooking With the Cricut  design team. I'm so excited about this, as you all know that I am an avid fan of the working with the cricut machine in general. And now I have double the excuse to cricut create!!! This week is my first challenge for Cooking With the Cricut  and the challenge is to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday by creating a project featuring your favorite Dr. Seuss book or a project that encourages reading. I choose to do the second. I used my gypsy to weld this picture together. The reading boy and girl come from the A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge, the books in the middle come from the Wrap It Up cartridge, and the sentiment comes from the Storybook Cartridge. I though that this would be perfect to decorate our reading nook upstairs. I will hang it above the bookcase at a later date, only because we will start painting walls soon. I hope you enjoyed this first project that I create...
