In 2019 we had our daughter at a private school and our son at a STEM school. We like the STEM school but it was proving to be a challenge having them at two different schools. So, two months into his 6th grade year we moved him to the same private school his older sister was attending. These are the photos from his "first day of the new school". To scrap these photos I used a sketch challenge from the Sketches In Thyme blog .  My Layout: The Sketch: To make this layout I used: American Crafts Project Life: Kraft Edition paper pack American Crafts Project Life: Photo overlay October Afternoon: Daily Flash Snap Caps Crate Paper: Wonder - felt hearts First Day of School Cricut DS Image: title Circle frame created using the Splice feature on DS Paper Clip from my stash Thank you so much for stopping by! First Day of School

Image
This was the first day of 7th grade for Grace and 6th grade for Elijah. Elijah was heading off to STEM Charter and Grace was headed to Christian Center School. About two months into the school year we actually ended up pulling Elijah out of STEM and putting him into CCS with Grace. Going to two different schools every morning and afternoon ended up being a bit much especially since they were not close to each other. This ended up being a really good decision as this school year (as everyone knows) ended up quite unexpectedly! To scrap their first day of school photos I used a challenge from The ScrapRoom Blog , as well as a challenge from ACOT - A Cherry On Top in order to create a double layout! My Layout: The Challenges: The ScrapRoom Blog My Layout: ACOT Challenge: Make the Cut 3/4 x 10 2 1/4 x 9 1/2 2 1/4 x 11 6 x 6 My Layout: To Create this layout I used: Piggy Tales: Georgie Porgie Collection paper BoBunny: Back to Backs paper Echo Park: Teacher's Pet - stickers Split Monogr

Lasting Memories Guest Designer Post 1

Image
I'm so excited to announce that I get to be a Guest Designer at the Lasting Memories challenge blog for April. This first challenge is called Word Play. And I'll explain that more below.  I decided to use photos of my daughter and her best friend from when they went to the mall for a shopping spree at Justice! I can't believe she is growing up so fast. I just watched them looking around the store, trying things on, and making purchases like grown ups. Yes, I stuck around - and watched from afar. Not quite ready for the whole drop them off at the mall - at least not two years ago when this was taken.  The Challenge: Wordplay -  Since today is Easter Sunday - use a scrappy item, theme, or technique for every letter in the word "EASTER". Your layout  does not  have to be Easter-related - it can be about anything. And since there are 2 "E"s you will need to include 2 different "E" items. Here's the link to Lauren's Scrappy Alphabet page

@ Back to School

Last year was Grace's first year of Jr. High. She was also going to a new school. It was a local Christian private school. This current school year we decided to back to homeschooling but this particular year was a lot of fun as they were given lockers and schedules for changing classes. She felt like such a big kid, which "sniff sniff" she is. I had to sneak these photos because it was embarrassing LOL. To scrap these photos I used a challenge found at the Scrap Our Stash challenge blog.
