I'm Just Popping to Tell You

I'm Just Popping to Tell You!!! The Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog is having a fun challenge this week. The challenge is to create a project using an animal diecut from your cricut cartridges. I can't resist an animal challenge, those are some of the most fun cuts! I decided to use my Give a Hoot Cricut Cartridge, as I have yet to really use it very much. It has such fun images on it and when I saw this cute bear sticking his head out of the trash can I knew I found the cut I wanted to use. I started to just cut it out to put on the front of a card (scroll down and there is a pic of the first card that I made), but I wasn't liking it very much. One of my favorite kind of cards to make is a shape card, so I figured I'd try again and make it a shape card instead. I welded the image together using my gyspy and I think it turned out pretty cute. I used some ink to distress it a bunch so it would look a little dirty, added some twine and buttons to embellish it...

What Did You Do This Summer?

Image
If you are looking for the Back To School Cricut Crawl please click HERE  or keep scrolling down to the next post. This week it's all about saying goodbye to summer and to my term as DT on Cookin With Cricut . Such a bittersweet moment in so many ways. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time on CWC and plan to continue on in participation and maybe even return next term if they'll have me back :)  So, we are telling everyone via paper crafting what we did this summer. I don't know about you but my family loves to go camping and we definitely did a lot of that. This layout doesn't represent this year's camping trips, however, because I'm still a year behind - so this is last summer. So, check out my layout for a taste of what I did this (last) summer. I used the Campin Critter's Cricut Cartridge to create this layout. I absolutely love this cartridge, it is so adorable. Just check out these great images that I used on the layout! Now upload your creation to...

Summer Vacation!

Image
Bitten By The Bug 2 has another fun challenge out this week.  Love their challenges - I'm on a Cricut kick so why wouldn't I? Oh wait, I'm always on a Cricut kick! :) This week the challenge is to use some sort of vacation cut on our entry projects. Well my entire project is a Cricut cut, as it turns out.  This tent comes from the Camping Critters Cricut Cartridge and the paper comes from the DCWV The Green Stack. I loved how fun this was to put together. It was pretty easy so I decided to make two more. My kids both thought that they should have one for each of their rooms to play with. See their's below.

Three Layouts and a Card

Image
Had some time to scrap this week and decided I should share. I have to say that this is the first time this year that I have gotten around to actually scrapbooking for my family album. I guess I have been on a bit of a card and home decor kick. Not to say that I am finished with that, but I am determined to get caught up on my family album. So, here are a few additions as of this week.  For this layout I had a chance to use a new toy. My new Sew Easy tool from We R Memory Keepers. For the swirl accents I used the Picturesque Cricut Cartridge and punched out and embossed a couple of diecuts to make the heart have butterfly wings.  Look below for a fun video that explains what the Sew Easy tool does. Gotta have one now right?!!! This layout is one of my favorites, and this is because of one fact - it shows my family standing in front of our new (at the time) Dodge Ram truck. Now I don't know if you can read the journaling on the layout or not, but I wrote about how all ...

A Holiday Card

Image
If you are looking for the Winter Baby Blog Hop click HERE So, there is a challenge going over on The Pink Stamper blog in their 12 days of Christmas event. I decided to take them up on their first challenge because it intrigued me! The challenge was to  m ake a Christmas or Winter project from a Cricut Cartridge that is NOT for the Holidays!  To think outside the box. So, this is the card I came up with. The car came from the Campin Critters cartridge. I cut it out and cut off the luggage on top of the car. Then I used one of the trees that had a fox hiding behind it. I cut off the part with the fox and replaced the tree with the luggage. Then, also, using the Campin Critters cart I cut out the turn right sign and added a sticker from my stash that said traditions. And, there you have my holiday card that was made from a non-holiday cartridge. Thanks for a great challenge!
