To The Dress!!! My sister got married awhile back and I had these pictures of her when she was picking her dress. It was such a fun outing. My sisters, my mom and my new niece all went together to help Cody pick out the perfect dress and she found it! I decided to create this layout using a sketch I found on GrandDiva's Creative Corner .  Here's the sketch: (I'm using the top right sketch) My layout: I turned the sketch to the side so that I could use the pictures the way I wanted to. Queen of Sheba

Image
I have a great friend who adopted two beautiful girls from Ethiopia. Amazing girls, love them both! We went out to dinner with them to a place called Queen of Sheba - an Ethiopian restaurant. The girls were able to introduce us to some food from their country. Oh man, I'm in love. So good, I had to scrap about it! To do that, I used DCWV's sketch for their October stack-a-holics challenge. Amazing Garden!

I'm finally getting around to scrapping my husbands and I Hawaii trip, from 3 years ago. Slow process, mostly because I tend to get the family stuff done before romantic vacations. I love sketches and the blog Stuck?!  had a great one to start off the new year. Not to mention Let's Scrap is having their load challenge this month in their Facebook group. Here is the sketch I worked off of: And here is my take on it: I used my new Cricut Explore to create this layout. I basically used images that I found in the Cricut Design Space library (to which I have a temporary subscription) to create the entire layout. Just for fun, here is the screenshot of my layout. Family Kept By God

Image
This past weekend a good friend of mine had a housewarming party. They recently bought a new house and renovated it themselves. They did a fantastic job. I wanted to make them something for their new home and decided to check out my favorite source for ideas, Pinterest ! I found this great wood block craft that I thought would be perfect. The Inspiration: Here's my project: I used the Storybook Cricut Cartridge for the word "Family" and I used the Once Upon a Princess Cricut Cartridge for "Kept By God". I pulled out some pattern paper with the greens and yellows in it, as this is my friends favorite colors. For my ribbon I used some green Crinkle Ribbon. I have to say I love crinkle ribbon. If you are interested in getting some yourself you can check out My Craft Spot  for some great color choices. Till next time,
