I don't know what it is about photos of people walking but I like them. These photos of the kids walking around at Silverwood Amusement Park  are so cute. I believe these photos were taken by my friend Gina. I used some really wild papers for this layout. It's so busy it's almost too much but I think I'm kind of in love with it.  To scrap these photos I used a challenge on the Rochelle Spears and the Scrap With Stacy blogs. I will also enter this layout in a challenge from the A Cherry on Top forum.  My Layout: The Sketch from  Rochelle Spears The Tic Tac Toe Challenge from  Scrap With Stacy I included embellie clusters, vellum, and foam letters The Embellishment Challenge from  A Cherry on Top list of ingredients: 1. Tag (any size) 2. A circle shape 3. Cardstock OR Chipboard sticker 4. Banner Flag 5. Phrase or Word sticker 6. Twine 7. My Best Friend

Image
Grace and Taylor have been friends since kindergarten. They have been two peas in a pod since the day they met. Started out that they were neighbors but then both of us moved out of the neighborhood. We still live nearby, at least in the same state (the next door state of Idaho) about 15 drive from each other. They don't get to see each other as often as they did when they lived down the street from each other but they still do their best to stay close.  To scrap this photo of them sunbathing in our back yard I used a sketch from Sketches in Thyme .  My Layout: To Create this Layout: Park Lane: Pocket Blossom paper stack Project Life: Becky Higgins Currently Photo overlay - "This Moment Captured" Phrases on Cricut Design Space: Best Friend title American Crafts: Dear Lizzy ephemera Basic Grey: ephemera Thank you so much for stopping by! Awesome

My name is  Jamie Arthur  and I'm so excited to be a guest designer at  L asting Memories  this month. I love scrapbooking and really love working with sketches. I have been scrapbooking for over 20 years at this point. I have two children, a Golden-doodle, and I'm married to the best man a girl could ask for. And when I say the best I mean it! This man puts up with my scrapbooking obsession as well as my coffee addiction and my love of books (which are everywhere)!  I enjoy spending time in my craft room creating layouts for our family scrapbook albums. It is so fun to be able to open our family albums and not just look at pictures but relive the memories through the layouts themselves. I put my albums in the order in which things happened and I go year by year. The only problem with this method is that I end up with a lot of albums! I tend to scrap everything, however I find that it is so worth it when I look at my children enjoying them. Most of my layou...

Here is another layout from our stay at the Roosevelt Inn in downtown Coeur d'Alene. They had a giant chess board out on their lawn. I had to hold a mini photo shoot with the girls. Grace was getting a retainer. She was not happy about this at all! But cousin Rick was gentle! I am definitely one of those scrappers, couldn't help taking a photo of her in the chair! Family

Image
I back with another challenge entry. This one is for Sketches In Thyme . They have a cool sketch up this week and I decided to use it to scrap this pictures of me, my daughter, my mom, and my grandmother from a lunch date we had. 4 generations of women in my family - it was a fun outing! Now I did deviate quite a bit from the sketch, but I followed the basics! This was actually a very challenging sketch mostly due to the paper choice. I had decided to use a paper stack I hadn't used in awhile - not really my favorite stack LOL.  So, I was definitely challenged, but I think it came out ok?! Check out the sketch: My Take: To Create this Layout I used: DCWV: Orange Envy papers stack * the circle cluster base behind the photo and the flower cluster at the top left are all cut from the paper stack. Basic Grey: "Sweet" tag and vellum flower and heart Home DecorVinyl Wall Art cartridge - Family title Krinkle Ribbon Thank you so much ...

Game Night #friendship

Image
We love getting together with friends to play games. The more the merrier! This particular night we were playing a fun game called Robo Rally. It's where you each manage a robot and plan its moves throughout the game board. There are holes, conveyor belts, pushers and lasers that you need to avoid and plan around as well as avoid being shot in the back by other robots. Its a fun game that is hard to win but hilarious in the effort! I choose a sketch put up on the Sketch n Scrap challenge blog  to scrapbook this photo.  The Sketch: My Take: To Create this layout I used: DCWV: Boho Style paper pack Cuttlebug: Feathers and Arrows - feather dies Basic Grey: Diecut cardstock and transparencies Babette Cricut Font - #friendship Family Album cartridge - title Distressing ink and Krinkle Ribbon A closer look: Thank you for stopping by! When my daughter was in the 4th grade her class took an overnight trip to Lutherhaven - a camp that isn't too far out of town. It was so much fun chaperoning these kids and getting to know them better. It was a great bonding experience for them and they made some great memories alongside learning some great lessons! I used this week's Let's Scrap  sketch to create this layout. The Sketch: My Take: To Create this Layout I used: DCWV: Boho Style paper stack Cricut Cartridges: Elegant Edges - leaf book cover Holiday Cakes - leaf borders Type Candy Font - title font Ek Success: Banner punch for the banners on the right Basic Gray: Capture diecuts - photo frame, camera and "take a pictures it'll last longer" Metal circle embellishments from my stash Distressing Ink Thank you so much for stopping by!
