He Has Risen Indeed! Praise be to the Lord!

So, I'm on a roll and of course I have to post all my layouts. I'm just way too excited about getting so much done for our family scrapbook! These layouts were all completed using sketches from the My Scraps and More Birthday Sketch-a-thon.  (From this point on I will not be posting the sketches. You will have to create an account and see for yourself) :) This challenge required the use of inks. I used Tim Holt'z Walnut stain distress ink and Colorbox inks to distress all the pattern paper peices used on this layout. The circle paper comes from George and Basic Shapes Cricut cartridge and the "Preschool" title comes from the Locker Talk Cricut Cartridge. The "ABC" in the lower right corner comes from the Recess Cricut Cartridge. The paper is DCWV: My Sunshine. This layout challenge required the use of stamps. Today I just want to share a few of the simple layouts I have completed for my family album. This layout was super simple. I used a paper from the DCWV The Green Stack and simply added pictures and a title. The title comes from the Kate's ABC's Cricut cartridge. This layout, again a super easy and quick one was put together using paper from Canvas Corp. and the cricut cartridge Stand and Salute. Canvas Corp again for the paper and trendy twine for a little embellishment. This layout is based of a Newspaper plane. It reminded me of my favorite movie and now Broadway play Newsies! So, I had to have my husband get a picture of me in front of the plane! The newspaper came from the Mickey and Friends Cricut Cartridge and I honestly can't remember which cart I used for the title. Here are some more fun layouts for your enjoyment. The first is based of a sketch that Let's Scrap had up for a recent challenge. I only used the right side to enter the challenge and my take is below. This was a very fun layout to make. I used DCWV's My Sunshine Stack. I used the Create a Critter and the Lovely Floral Cricut Cartridges for the flags and the banner at the bottom.  This layout used the Boys Will Be Boys and Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut cartridges. The paper is from DCWV's My Sunshine Stack. The title on this layout is cut from the Life's a Beach Cricut Cartridge. Till next time,

Well, there are a few card sketches that have been included on the My Scraps and More  Birthday Sketch-a-thon and I can always use more cards for my card stash. So here are the two card  sketch challenges I've done so far. Use a Punched Shape My Take: Now, I don't have a lot of punches so I used my border punch for this challenge. Hopefully, that flies :) I used paper from the DCWV's The All About Girls matte stack for the both the card base and it's butterfly center. I used the border punch all around the center piece of butterfly cardstock and then added some pre-made flowers from my stash to embellish the card. I used a stamp for the sentiment. Use twine on your card My Take: This was an easy challenge for me as one of my favorite things to work with lately is twine. In the interest of catching up on my family album, as I'm a couple of years behind, I have allowed myself to simplify! Using my stash is definitely a goal as well.  The title on this layout was cut using the Graphically Speaking Cricut Cartridge.   This layout was created using DCWV's My Sunshine Stack. One of the things I've always had a hard time doing was using those awesome papers with full page designs on them. Deciding to take the leap in to simple pages I decided to use this paper from DCWV's The Playtime Stack. I slapped on a picture that I matted and then added a tag after tying on some twine. Not to shabby looking and Hooray! Very cute layout of my favorite little tough guy! He's learning to use a water gun - not very successfully that is! Such a simple layout I'm in shame!
