Wedding Bliss

Image
The challenge this week at Fantabulous Cricut is to create a project for a special couple, (Wedding, Anniversary). I have a some friends who are getting married soon so I decided to start working on a wedding scrapbook for them. I am making the layouts, but I will leave the photo matts empty so that they can add the pictures that they want to each page. The album is not yet done, but I will give you a sneak peek at some of the layouts that I have finished so far. The paper that I used for all of these layouts come the DCWV All Dressed Up Stack as well as the DCWV Glimmer Stack This layout was created using the Tie The Knot and Forever Young Cricut Cartridge. The flowers are from Petaloo. Tie The Knot Wall Decor and More Wall Decor and More Now it is your turn to create a special wedding project and upload it to the Fantabulous Cricut  blog.

Flying High or Pretending to Anyway

Image
Last summer we took a trip to the Flight Museum in Seattle - yes I know I'm a bit behind :). The kids had so much fun there. Below is a layout that shows my two little ones with their cousin Tim pretending to fly a jet airplane (at least I think that is what it is). For this layout I used the Stand and Salute Cricut Cartridge.

Well, it's summer time and it's also a new Design Team term at the  Fantabulous Cricut blog . I'm staying on and I'm so excited for this summer into fall term. The challenges already are amazing. Like today's challenge, which is to create a project with any type of summer dessert (ice cream, popsicle, fruit, etc). I knew just what I was going to do. Summer time for me means lots and lots of popsicles - my kids think if it's hot then it must be time for a popsicle! Check out my popsicle card below: I used paper from the DCWV Nana's Kids paper stack, because it's glittery delicious!!! The popsicle is from the Sweet Shop Cricut Lite Cartridge and is welded together with another of the same popsicle to create a shape card. I added some dew drops I had recently ordered from Robin's Nest  to add more glitter and the melting effect. The Brrrr sentiment comes from the Winter Woodland Cricut Cartridge. Tip: just because the cartridge is for a specific seas...

Generations

Image
A really great site for sketches is Let's Scrap . They are my favorite source of layout ideas. Below is a sketch that was created by Cheri O'Neill, called Memorable Seasons. I decided to use this sketch to create a layout for a favorite picture that portrays the past four generations of the women in my family. To create this layout I used the DCWV Garden Tea Party paper stack. Starting from left to right: Cody (my youngest sister), me, my grandmother Loni, my mom Carolyn, and my sister Amber. Front and center is my daughter Grace. The only girl missing is my middle sister Tamara, who was not present for the picture. So, if you liked my layout check out the Let's Scrap  site and get your scrap on!

Happy Birthday USA!

Happy Birthday USA! This week at Cookin With Cricut we are asked to create a 4th of July project. I decided to make a general card that I could give out as a thank you or thinking of you card. I make this card using the Stand and Salute Cricut Cartridge for the sentiment as well as the fireworks. The boy in the fire engine came from the A Child's Year Cricut Catridge. Now, it's your turn. Upload your project to Cookin With Cricut !

BBQing

What says more about summer than BBQing? It's one of my favorite things and we do it a lot! Although I have to admit, I probably like it more because that means I don't have to cook :) LOL! So, this week's challenge on the Fantabulous Cricut  blog is to make a project using hotdog, hamburger etc (bbq foods). Since we tend to have a lot of BBQs at our house I decided to create an invitation! Check it out. The BBQer and the BBQ & steak cuts came from the Everyday Paper Dolls Cricut Cartridge, the Sentiment "You're Invited" came from the Sentimentals Cricut cartridge, and the "BBQ" came from the Jasmine Cricut Cartridge.  I had to use a steak because I love my steak and it's my favorite thing to eat off the BBQ!!! The background paper comes from Me And My Big Ideas Boy stack. Mmmm I'm hungry! Now it's your turn. Upload your creation to Fantabulous Cricut !
